    My "Loving" Mother

My twin sister, Samantha, and I were born to a 14 year old girl. As children, our grandmother spent most of her time raising us. She gained legal custody of us when we were eight, and died the following year. Our dad ran away from us when I was two, so he wasn't much help...

    Why I Am

My mom was 17 or 18 when she had me. It never really bothered me since she only had one child. Thought I share this fact.

    Saved Her Life.

My mother was fourteen when she became pregnant with me, and fifteen when I was born.  If she hadn't have had me, she would have gone down a bad road with drugs and all.  Well, worse than what she did.  I don't think people realize what it is like being...

    My Mom Was 16

My mom was 16 when she became pregnant with me. It was 1970, so this was frowned upon. Abortion was illegal, and my mom didn't want to sneak and have one. She couldn't bring herself to give me up either. We lived with my grandparents. I don't remember my early childhood. Mom...

    Mother'S Day

This is only my 7th Mother’s Day as a mother myself.  I spent many years shedding tears on this day. Even now, I am in awe at the privilege God has given me to be a mother. Most of the time though, when I think of Mother’s Day, I think of my own mother.  I can’t even...

    Nothing Affected Me More

The reality of life is that we are a product of both our biochemical tendencies and our environment.  Part of being an adult is trying to understand those influences and in many cases making the effort to re-wire your brain as much as possible.  My mother was 17 and my...

Teenagers Really Need to Think Twice.

My mom was 15 the day I was born, my father was 17.  I actually had a rather privleged early childhood, thanks to my mom's dad and my dad's parents.  They helped out alot.  I lived with my mom full time, and my dad on the weekends and school breaks.  They didn...

17 Year Old Mom, And A Bit Of A Question To Others

My mom had me when she was 17, my brother and 19, and my sister at 21. I feel she used me to try. To keep my biological dad out of college. This didn't work, if anything having me gave him more of a drive to be successful to help provide for me, he's always been active in my life...
