mbby wrote on 02:39PM at Jul 25th, 2009 I cope with it by reminding myself how proud I am of him for what he's doing. I keep in mind that this is his job, and he loves what he's doing. If he loves it, I will too. It it makes him happy, well I'll pretend to be happy about it too!(; He told me to think of him being away as him being on a business trip. And the people he is doing business with don't really like his ideas, so he has to stay for awhile and fight for his idea. Helps keep my mind away from what he's really doing.

yungmilitarywifey wrote on 09:10AM at Jul 29th, 2009 As the Army Girlfriend saying goes "Live Life Like Everyday the next day is Deployment." When he is home we go out and do lots of things like make videos and take thousands of pictures so when he is gone I look back at those things and it makes me feel like he is not dat far away and I send him some to help him feel the same. One day at a time is how I take it even though he is in Iraq it still feels like he is not that far at times.

Sometimes I look back and surprise myself with how much I have overcome and it just makes me feel like a stronger person, giving me more hope than I had yesterday. My experience, the first couple of months were hell, then I got more used to accepting the fact that I had to let go of him again and again...I always tell myself this; "Missing someone gets easier every day because even though it's one day further from the last time you saw each other, it's one day closer to the next time you will."

PROPERTYOFUSSOLDIER wrote on 10:29AM at Apr 27th, 2012 My boyfriend sent me a teddy bear that has an Army ACU on, boots and everything! He sleeps with me every night when my soldier isn't around to. :) I keep myself busy and am constantly buying things that say army or army girlfriend or anything along those lines. Especially clothing. It reminds me of why I'm waiting ever so patiently and why I am very proud! I just recently discovered this site, and I've never been much of a 'blogger' but I've gotten nothing but support since I've been on here. I love to vent! So this will be wonderful. I stay positive, and stay in a good mood (I won't lie, I've had those nights where I just want to be emotional about it, it's okay to cry if you miss him!) I watch Army Wives too! I found it on netflix, the first 5 seasons are on it, and the the 6th is on T.V now that started a little while ago, it's perfect. It's not a reality, it's all acted out but it's so accurate on army information and the wives in it are just amazing. You ladies should watch it, even though the girlfriends don't live on ba Good luck ladies, stand by your man and always support him! We're all here for each other, feel free to message me if any of you would just like to vent or relate, I won't judge and I'd be more than happy to find someone I can talk to on here.
