I Am Too Old to Be Young But Too Young to Be Old

I fret over those who are hurting,

feel the weight of the world on my shoulders, stress over bills, stress with meeting expectations... And yet love cartoons, having water gun fights, seeing what shapes I can see in the clouds... In short the adult who cherishes the childlike wonder remaining in my heart.

I never got to have the normal experiences of

youth that most have (because my mom raised me very religiously and expected me to do too much for her) so I don't want to be a "grown-up". At the same time, I have health issues that make me feel older physically than I do in my head.

    How Old Is Too Young?

When I got to 45 I simply stated that Iwas half way to 90 and left it at that. Since then, helped no doubt by the fact that my wife gets words and thoughts tangled, I have started substituting one word for another just because it sounds similar - but means something...

Spent my life as it was supposed to be.

I grew up got a job go married had kids raised kids. Kids went away, marriage went away job stayed lol.. I got fat old and started to see the changes of age. Then I woke up and hit that mid life crisis that I thought didn't really exist. It does exist and its a pain in the...

I think I am going through a pre mid life

crises! At the age of 28 I feel like I have missed out on not having more blinding nights out raving until sunrise. I could have carved a different career for myself even though I like the one I have. I would have liked to have had more mindless amazing sex. I want to still be...

The only thing I'm sure of is the fact

that I'm 19 years old, but I'm already mourning the time that I was 15 years old...and I know that that mourning will only worsen with age. I numb this fact with alcohol, eating disorders, music, and long drives at night in my mind. That felt good to "say" out loud.

Age is irrelevant. Our existence is based upon

the fire within is, a caliber destiny roaring inside of our souls. Yet, the realization of age torments any human. Why fear growing gray hair, when it's our souls that blacken? Why linger over a few wrinkles when our demeanor is the aspect that folds over? Why would you want to...

    I'm 26. I'm not young

and energetic enough to enjoy clubs and getting hammered and trying to scream over loud, thumping music while trying, almost certainly in vain, to lay the pipe in some girl on her 21st birthday. But then again, even when I was young enough, that was never my thing anyway...

Who remembers this? (Pic attached) I haven't

even seen this in years!!! But I was shopping Sunday and I saw it. My kids saw me taking a pic of it and said "mommy what is that?" I replied "it's a pack of gum" They picked it up and felt it then the oldest said "that's a lot of gum for one pack, but why does it feel like it's...

I've grew up very fast in my childhood due to

certain circumstances. However I Still Want To Enjoy Many things. I'm not old lol I guess and I'm very young at heart. Growing old is mandatory growing up is optional. He'll enjoy life because guess what. You'll never make it out alive anyway.

When I was a little girl I really loved the

    Ready To Settle Down...

At this age, 19, a college student should reflect on their attributions to society and how to maintain a proper balance between adulthood and education. We are to live wildly, party like it's 1999, drink until our livers are screeching with aching pain, but not me. I did my 18...
