Thoughts On My Freedom (To Be Continued)

They say I am free. I was somehow born free and not so. Born as any human creature, through my mother and into the world of earth: of earth and sky and space., of living and breathing and eating, digesting, eliminating, of feeling and dreaming, of loving...of learning. I was born...

    Hidden Light

I am not her. I am trapped inside her stupid, miserable life, but I am not her. I am far more beautiful. I am powerfully creative. I burst with love and light, every color. I am not her. She only lets me out in sobs of longing, keeping me veiled. She aches for me. I live inside...

If You Want To Be A Writer Then Act Like One

That's what someone said and he might be right. Also for being a writer u have to work hard but I'm not sure if it is not more important to have an inspiration and talent? Hm, well, I guess both matters. I just like the act of writting and creating something in my own stile, but...

    Why Try So Hard?

I love writing - i write everyday. Songs, poems, stories, novels and so on. I don't write fast though, but i'm good at it too. But what makes me different from all of you guys, is that i don't write because i wan't somebody to 'like' my story. I don't think about, that someday...

    I Guess Its Ok

I really love writing, I think, but I can't seem to get it together. Its a bit disscouraging when I hear that sometimes it takes years to create a story good enough to get published, I don't think I can wait 10 years for someone to like my stories.

    Spring Break

When I was in college, I met a beautiful girl named Beth on the first day of my freshman year. We were both engineering majors and many of our classes were very technical so it became our habit to study together. Beth had a boyfriend throughout college so our relationship...

    Any Tips?

First, i just want to say, that the reason why my english might not be accurate is that i live in Denmark :) - Okay, so i'm writing this story. It's about a circus, and it takes place in the end of the 1800s and in the start of the 1900s. I won't take your time by giving you any...

    10 Tips For Aspiring Writers

    10.  Become an alcoholic.  (Supplement this with substance abuse.) 9.  Learn a handful of obtuse quotes by writers unknown to "regular" people.  Use them inappropriately and scan the confused expressions with disdain and fin de siecle ennui...

    I Want to Self Publish

I am a writer of childrens stories and have two books ready to market. I want to self publish if I can and am going to eventually do it. Right now I have a few people reading my stories and they have said they are good so I guess it's off to the races as...

    "Trying"

It's kind of funny that I stumbled across this group (another example of why EP is so amazzzzzing).   Anyways, in a way I have always considered myself a "writer" in a sense, because just like any other art there are different severity's, talent levels...

    Lisa's Confession

My wife, Pam and I have been married for more than 30 years and I consider her family my family. Pam has many close relatives whom we see on a regular basis. Pam has a first cousin named Lisa with whom I am particularly fond. Lisa was in the 6th grade when Pam and I were married...

Thoughts On My Freedom Part 2 ( To Be Continued)

Though I was born of one mother , whom I called "Mom" when I lovingly learned how, I was truly given back to my original Mother--The Cosmos--the Earth Herself. She had all I needed. She grew food for me. She provided oxygen for my newly functioning lungs. She provided all of the...

    I'm Working On It...

I've been writing novels for about three years.  A lot of ideas and half-started ones have been scrapped but recently I've been kind of proud of myself and my writings.  The subjects have gotten more mature and I think my writing style has really improved. I haven't...

    Eight Years and Counting

I have been working on one story for the past eight years.  It's a children's fantasy story, and try as I might I just can't seem to get it 'good' enough.  It's into its third rewrite now and I have a team of friends proof reading it for me.  My plan is, once it is...

    Working On It

I write a lot of short stories, and am attempting a novel, but I'm not sure where to get started as far as publishing or selling them is concerned. I would love to make my living as an author, but that is going to be pretty hard if I can't find someone who is willing to publish...

    Trying Anyway

I have wanted to be a writer ever since I was a child. There was a time when I was 100% sure that I could make it happen, but I'm not so sure now. I write to vent. I write because I know I am good at it and every time I let someone read my work, they confirm that. But my biggest...

    Fishing For Love

When I was a young man of 15, I enjoyed fishing in a stagnant slough near my home. I often caught a good number of catfish and bluegill in the slough but my mom rarely cooked any of them because she feared that they might be contaminated. One beautiful spring day I went to my...
