    It really gets to me when people say THE Ukraine, instead of just Ukraine. Even though I'm half Russian, it does bother me when people consider Ukrainian and Russian the same thing. Two different countries, two different languages, people! What other things get on your nerves...

    Pround To Be Ukrainian

    My Great Grandfather was from Ukraine. His name was Oleksandr Nazarenko and was born in Kyiv, in 1868. He was a commander in the Ukrainian army and met my great grandmother in 1882, Svetlana Aslanian from Armenia. They had my grandfather Andriy Nazarenko.

    I Am Ukrainian

    I am Ukrainian because my Dad was Ukrainian. My Mom was a mixture of French, English and Irish. I like Ukrainian foods. Perogies Cabbage Rolls, beet soup. I don't speak Ukrainian though but would like to learn it. I also like the sound of Ukrainian music.
