I live in US now(and have

for the past 9 years), but someday I hope to move there again - see relatives and meet people there who speak my language, have similar traditions, celebrate the same holidays, and share my love for Ukraine. <3

    I Am Ukrainian

I am Ukrainian because my Dad was Ukrainian. My Mom was a mixture of French, English and Irish. I like Ukrainian foods. Perogies Cabbage Rolls, beet soup. I don't speak Ukrainian though but would like to learn it. I also like the sound of Ukrainian music.

    "oh, You're From The Ukraine?"

It really gets to me when people say THE Ukraine, instead of just Ukraine. Even though I'm half Russian, it does bother me when people consider Ukrainian and Russian the same thing. Two different countries, two different languages, people! What other things get on your nerves...
