This January, I'll have been vegan

for 10 years -- a thought that only recently occurred to me. I'm not a hippie. I'm not anemic. I'm not underweight. I'm not miserable. You do lose some of that initial zeal when you first go vegan, but if it matters to you, you can make it work. I even wound up dating a...

Oatmeal made with almond milk, brown sugar and apples. Lunch= mashed avocado and tomato sandwich, a pear, and a cup of almond milk. I can't wait to cook because it's always something filling and delicious

    Now that I've been vegan

So after watching the documentary Earthlings on

Sunday evening I decided immediately to go vegan. Today is officially my third day and last night I had a meat eating dream. I was so angry with myself in the dream. I just mindlessly ate the meat and only afterwards did I remember that I'd decided to become a vegan. It's funny...

it has been the best decision of my life and more importantly it contributes to saving lives and reducing animal cruelty. Food also taste so much better. Cooking is fun and delicious. I am going to go eat something now lol

I am slowly transitioning to a vegan lifestyle,

because of ethical reasons and health benefits. It really frustrates me that my family (especially my mother) doesn't support and understand me. It's so annoying when someone is holding you back.. Do you have anything to say?

I've been vegan for about a year

and a half and I think its crazy that I've lasted so long on this lifestyle with little to no support from my family in the beginning. honestly veganism has helped me grow up so much to be my own person, forming my own opinions about the world.

It's annoying when you are invited to dinner

but can't bring your own food or you'll hurt people's feelings but yet they tell you to pick the meat out of the dish The greasy fat of dead carcasses has already been absorbed by the salads so I don't see how that will work.

Every vegetarian or vegan i know ends up having to explain their reasons for being so to every dim-witted small-minded soul at almost every meal. For #%$@'s sake. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't non-vegans (like me) feel obligated to explain why we eat...
