I love animals. I have always felt more comfortable around animals and children than my peers and people my age. There's an innocence that small children and animals have, and I guess I feel like I need to protect them. They're so weak, and it makes my heart break when I see them...

and it's the truth! I believe in

that every creature has got a soul like you and me and I hate how the industry is treating animals... like a product. Babys will be seperated from their mothers to kill and eat them. There is a new trend in Japan, they eat frogs alive as sushi. In China you can buy keyrings...

    Been One Since 1972

Stopped eating meat 36 years ago because I didn't want to kill animals. I continue to learn about the horrors that often take place in the meat business. My wife is vegan but I eat dairy. I only buy free-range eggs and I buy organic when I can, but I recognize that even that is...

I'm a vegan ever since I was born.

I know that eating meat is not wrong (otherwise the food cycle will be messed up) but I simply can't eat them.

Vegan: A Kinder Way To Live =D

There is a lot of cruelty within the egg and dairy industries. Hens crammed 5-6 in a cage for eggs (free range are packed into sheds by the thousands) and dairy cows artificially inseminated every cycle to give birth to a baby that will either be turned into veal or given back...

    We Take Too Much

I'm a vegetarian because I believe that our survival does not depend on the breading, torturing and killing of other living thing. We take too much from this earth. It's like we need one thing but we destroy everything in it's path to get it. I grew up eating animals but...

Eating Animals Is Natural, But The Meat Industry Is Not

I've been a vegetarian for just over two years. I tried about a dozen times before it finally stuck. What really made me able to commit to it was some videos of the way animals are treated. What disturbed me the most wasnt just the blood and the cries of pains from the animals...

    New Vegetarian

I don't know if you can call me a vegetarian yet or not, but I've decided (yesterday) to no longer eat animals.  I will continue to eat dairy products (for now, I'm sure I have more research to do about my decision).  But I want to stop contributing to the murder of...

    To Eat Meat Is Murder

We like to think that nowadays we have a developed and humane civilization because of our intelligence but this is scarcely true. We slaughter billions of animals annually to satisfy our appetite for meat. But, because one species is cleverer than another, does it give them the...

I used to be a non vegetarian.

I used to believe in the nutritional benefits of having meat. But everything changed for me last year when I witnessed the slaughter of a pig. It was a really gruesome experience for me. The screams of the poor animal still haunts me sometimes. I just knew from then on what I...

    Mass Murder?

I can't handle seeing animal abuse. Clicheic (haha is that a word?) as it may sound, I have always had a strong connection with animals. I was disgusted to learn what occurs at slaughter houses. Killing an animal instantaneously is different than torturing an animal to a brutal...

I remember when I learned how they prepared lobster. And when I watched it I was so horrified that I could imagine myself in their position. What a horrible way to die! You're taken from your home, you're bound by blue rubber bands and thrown in a huge pot of boiling water to...

    Thank You Factory Farms

I used to like meat.  I never thought of the food as animals but I hated, and often avoided, the meat aisles at grocery stores or watching anyone prepare a ham or turkey.  Burgers and hot dogs did not bother me a whole lot.  I was a huge beef jerky fan too.  As I got older it...

    Vegan, Actually....

and it may sound harsh, and im not having a go or anything, but why do all these people who are so compassionate they become vegetarian still eat dairy and eggs, and wear leather, wool or silk? to me it was illogical to become a vegetarian. it would be saying 'i sort of care'. i...

    Visit to a Sanctuary

I went to a farm sanctuary this week. All the animals had been rescued from various locations. There were three female geese who had literally been taken from the garbage, newborns who were discarded because only the males are used to produce foie gras. There were chickens who...

    Animals Are People Too

That's why I don't eat them. I'm pretty sure the suffering they go through is horrific. And the worst part is that several million animals are slaughtered each year because people like the taste. If baby children tasted good would they eat them? In fact certain royal families...

Its One Of The Main Reasons Although It Aint The Only One !

I've come across kind people who are sensitive to every emotion of anyone around them. They love pets and nature and everything that they perceive as lovable. They will go to any extent to keep their pets (dogs/cats) happy and treat them just like another member of their family...
