I am 25 years old and soon to be 26

and I have accepted this and I wish nothing but good things. I've experienced a sudden loss of vision when I was 17-19 and I've dealt with the degeneration of my vision for quite some time now. I just had another eye appointment and the only great thing about it was that my eyes...

    Losing Vision

I have been working on my BA in elementary education. Last year I noticed that I was bumping into things often. I took a trip to my eye doctor and learned that I have lost almost 80 percent of my periperial vision in my right eye and about twenty percent in my left eye. They do...

    I have Stargardt disease.

I have always had issues with my eyes. In elementary school, I was able to see but sometimes put my face close to papers when I read or did schoolwork without realizing it. Around middle school, I sometimes had trouble seeing on the overhead projector. In high school, I wasn't...

    I am also totally blind.

I was born blind. I use a wide variety of technology to help me in my daily life. I use my iPhone, my Braille Note Apex, a laptop, a Pearl portable scanner, an NLS digital talking book player, and much more. I don't let my blindness hold me back from anything.
