It's hard enough to find a permanent job

but even harder when you're not really qualified in anything that could get you a good job.

Doing What You Love, And Loving What You Do

You know you have "made it" when you can earn a decent living and be financially independent while doing something you enjoy and are good at. You are a success if you can use your skills to earn money, provide for yourself (and your family, if you have one), and contribute...

I am really worrying about the future right now

and I don't know if I am going to be able to get a good job after I graduate from high school. I don't have much work experience and I feel like I would let down my employer. They say it will be easy when clearly it's a job that requires natural people skills which I don't have...

Where to begin? I am a complicated person with

conflicting desires. I have always been really lazy. There is a part of me that would love to never work. I would like to just eat, sleep, and be alone. I have never been an intensely driven, Type A, go-getter, overachiever kind of person. I was never competitive or motivated...

    In This Economy

I graduated from college 6 months ago and got a job as a bank teller 3 months ago. It pays the bills, and that's about it. It is the same thing from clock in to clock out (since I get paid hourly). I am still actively searching for a job in my field of study/interest, but that...

    Retail Blues

I have a degree in English Literature, but I can't seem to find a job that uses it. I am currently working part-time in a retailer, which just doesn't cut it. I may go after a teaching license.

I am not comfortable wielding authority.

I will never do well in any position that requires me to be an authority figure. I am not good at being stern, intimidating, or forceful. I cannot boss people around. I can't even be firm with people. I don't enjoy being the leader or supervisor of a group of people. I would not...

    A Job I Love

There's many things I like and unfortunately, I either don't have a degree in what I like, or don't have experience.  I believe it is important finding a job we love cause we are more at work then our home.  We can say, work is our number one home since were there more.

    Psych

I just graduated back in December with a bachelor's in psychology. I wish i knew where to start looking for internships and jobs that i actually like. But, to be honest, I can't. Currently, I am reconsidering a career change, even though i spent over four years getting this...

    Just Graduating...

I am going to graduate college in June, and I am terrified that I will never find a job that I truly love. I have a degree in English with a minor in communications (journalism), but where does that take me? I am scared that I will be someone's assistant forever. I have no...

I crashed out of a major University my 2nd year

when I was majoring in chemistry. Then all my friends started telling me that Nursing was where the job market was at. So as soon as I had worked and saved up enough money I started toward a 2-year Nursing degree (which practically ends up being a 4 year degree when you factor...
