Disclaimer: I use 0's instead of O's s0 call me

weird or judge me all you want.. ;D But.. I honestly don't understand what is s0 difficult about "their" and "they're", "your" and "you're", "then" and "than"!! & I know countless people have complained about such mistakes but I don't get why people still don't learn!

    Why do people overuse ellipses?

It drives me insane! Every sentence...is written...like this. Why? I truly don't understand where or for what reason this started.

    It makes me really happy

when I text, or message, or email a guy and they actually use proper spelling, punctuation, etcetera. I always want then to use smilies, :), but that's honestly optional. What ISN'T optional is typing intelligible things :)

    I love internet discussions.

There was a Facebook post in which a bunch of people were debating whether or not academic writing follows overly strict grammatical and syntactical guidelines. Comments containing arguments in favor of the very strict, old-fashioned rules (stricter than some of the rules I...

I do appreciate it; I don't absolutely hate

when someone doesn't use proper grammar.. It's just not my favorite thing if it's to the point that I can't understand them.

I don't mind a little bit of of text speech

like "lol" or "u", but the constant use of words like "bae" "yolo" "swag" "dat" "dis" "doe" "tbt" etc... Is just so awful

    You know what's absolutely hilarious?

When you find spelling and grammar mistakes in OFFICIALLY PUBLISHED JOURNALS. I should not find mistakes like that in Ivey Business Cases.

I don't think proper grammar is taught in the

schools any more. People write like they talk, don't use punctuation, and a lot of people use those stupid text abbreviations. Hardly anyone writes real letters any more. It seems this problem is getting worse every day.

Seriously, I do. I mean I don't mind the odd

lol or omg, but it has gotten so out of hand that I am certain the generations to come are going to become illiterate.

    Eighth Grade English...

...Is where I learned all I really needed to communicate clearly. Miss Ella Fanning, my older brother's teacher also oversaw my education in this discipline.  She was quite elderly; indeed, she taught the children who sailed here on the good ship Mayflower! Thus it was that we...

I believe the better your grammar is

when messaging someone shows how much you actually care about talking to them.

You Have To Like Words To Be A Writer.

Words aren't grammar, but you know what I mean. I recently came back to NY from a long trip to Beijing where a theatre project of mine was being developed. Since our American cell-phones didn't have the right SIM cards, the American team was given old phones so we could at...

I was having a conversation with my mother

regarding my aunt and uncle and some negative choices they've recently made. She concluded that "they are a piece of work" but I was wondering (since they are two people) wouldn't they be "pieces of work"? Or does the fact that they are married entitle them to be one collective...
