I Believe Age Doesnt Define Maturity

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 74,442 People

    It really doesn't. I've seen middle-aged men

act like hormonal teenagers and teenagers display great intelligence and maturity for their age. There's nothing sadder and more obnoxious than an adult twice your age acting like a pouty child. Unfortunately, that seems to be becoming a lot more common these days...

I believe age defines very little in fact.

Age is merely a number allotted to us by ourselves as a means of division. Like "oh you're 18. You are so young, still have so much to learn. You have your whole life ahead of you." Yet that same 18 year old you just told that to may have already witnessed his mother dying, two...

I'm one of the most immature people in the

world. I'll tell you why. The other day, I threw a tantrum and accused my mom that she loves my sister more than me. I was shouting and crying like a 5 year old. How old am I you say? 25. Last month, I had a heated argument with a coworker. I was still talking when he slammed...

I am 14, and probably most of you will go like:

"Then go and play with your barbies". No thanks. I consider myself more mature than a lot of people I own age and even older. I am self conscious of my acts and aware of the consequences. And some adults dont seem to be like that... Which is really disappointing and irritating.
