I Was Emotionally Abused In School

My story is a little different. Most of the stories about emotional or mental abuse come from individuals who were abused by family members. At school I was a victim of emotional abuse from one teacher and by my peers. When I was in 3rd grade, I had the teacher for hell. For some...

    It Hardens Your Insides.....😡

The words cut through your thoughts, making you doubt your self, where you never did before... The words begin to seep in deeper to your mind, causing pain you never felt before, soon attacking who you once were, pulling you away from that place you once used to know, now...

Emotional abuse is still a form of abuse

and I think should be treated as a crime. No one has any right to emotionally abuse anyone or abuse anyone in any other kind of way. It's a crime and should be treated as such.

    Worse Than Physical Abuse

And probably worse. Unlike being beaten physically, being beaten emotionally doesn't leave a visible bruise only an emotional one. This is why its not viewed as a crime. There has to be visible evidence for something to be treated as a crime. Meanwhile, so many people are...

I can think of so many people I've crossed

paths with who are so toxic in this manner that I feel for those who they interact with after I'm gone. Kinda like how after a bad relationship you think to yourself damn I hope the next ***** has some awesome gum boots for the **** storm coming their way. I almost feel bad for...

    It Should Be Punished

I tend to think emotional and verbal abuse go hand in hand. I dealt with it from my family and in a couple of relationships I was in. Anytime I had a feeling of any sort I would be told I was imagining it, making it up, they even called me crazy. My family went to the point of...

    I have a brother who's 35 years old

and recovering from a bad car accident. His wife is showing signs of abuse & control. An example is when he got a new phone a couple weeks ago when he finally got out of a three month hospital stay and transitioned to a rehabilitation center. He got upset that neither I nor our...

    Physical scars heal in time.

Psychological ones are traumatic and can affect the rest of your life. Bollocks to the "sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me" philosophy!

So I ran away a couple of days ago,

and they made me come back (they= police and family). They said they were gonna change and so far that's bullshit. I am leaving when I turn 17 whether they like it or not, they cannot make me stay. I am done with my mother telling me that I am a mean and ugly ***** . She says...

I love to learn and I am a knowledge seeker.

I didn't know how much I was going to learn when I got married. The hard way. Learning the hard way though, is very effective. You gain knowledge at a depth you wouldn't get by just reading a book. When emotions are involved the lessons learned are powerful and last a lifetime...

I feel like emotional abuse is underrated a lot.

I feel like I may be or maybe not. My parents are not very supportive of my emotions. My mom calls me a f****ing b***h and other things. When she found out about my bullying she never called that I was being bullied she always said i "had a problem fitting in" and she's done...

    It should be a crime.

...physical abuse is a crime, why not this ? the scars and damage it leaves and not for a while, but for a life time. It changes lives forever, and some can put it away where it does not hurt them totally, while others fight with it on a daily basis. it causes people to...

    I Believe...

People this dumb should be shot. How do you convict a person of an emotional abuse? How do you ensure that it is not just an over sensitive person who is complaining? Who decides what abuse is? Many people I have been accused of being "mean" by, have just hated the fact that...
