I Believe Euthanasia Should Be Legal

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 860 People

There was this debate going on a few months ago

in my country, The Netherlands, on whether to allow euthanasia for young children. We are one of the very few countries or states in the world where euthanasia is legal. Europe is often considered as fairly social liberal, which is why it’s surprising to me that euthanasia has...

I wonder if it is murder if the person asks someone to kill them, to put them out of their misery? Isn't that like suicide? Suicide was never against any laws in the books anyway. Have you heard of someone shooting a suffering animal tortured by its wounds? To make it less...

    It Should Be A Choice.

People should defiantly have the right to end their own lives, it only makes sense. Especially the terminally ill patients that are suffering in hospitals. It's just cruelty to keep them living in constant pain. Nobody should be able to decide another's fate for them, nor take...

Euthanasia is legal where I come from

as two different types. Active and passive. I have been offered active. It is legal if the 4 conditions are met. If Death is drawing near, suffering from unbearable physical pain, all other forms of pain relief are exhausted and if I consent. The first 3 have been met and I don...

If you are going to die,

then I believe that you should have the ability to choose to die sooner than later. If you are in pain and there is no hope, then I don't see what is wrong with euthanasia. I just believe that you should do what you want.
