    Just As Long

Just as long as your not harming people, sacrificing living things, doing things without peoples permission or such you should be aloud to do whatever. =]

    It's As Natural As Breathing.

Most of the objections here refer to something akin to making a fool of one's self. If you read the tenet then you must count yourself in to the box of none. Blessed be.

Sometimes - a Very Fine Line

Doing what you will - it does NOT mean you can disregard the social mores or your personal beliefs. You still have to live with yourself and your decisions because decisions are the only thing that you truly own - they are yours, good or bad.

    Really!

Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone would live by these words? I would never demand that someone else live by my standards, but really, why all the strife over what other people do, what they believe, how they worship, how or who they love? Everyone just wants to be...

    Just Like the Song!

If it makes you happy, then it can't be that bad." And this is pretty much what this rule means. If it doesn't hurt you or others, then I say GO FOR IT! :-D Live life the way you want and do what makes you happy. That's the way I see it. ;-)

    Why So Many Restricting Laws

It seems that laws restricting personal choice are too abundant in UK. I mean if a motorcyclist wants to feel the wind on his face why not allow them to ride with no crash hat. There is danger, of course, but only to themselves. When I rode it was prior to this law and there is...

A Great Creed But Care Is Needed

We all need to recognize the "harms none part" and put it into perspective. First of all "harms none" is next to impossible, but "harms few" is cold hearted and "doesn't harm much" seems naive and doesn't flow right. Second we have to...

    An Important Qualifier

Yes, I believe if it harms none, do what you will. The tricky part can be assuring the absolute absence of harm. the impulse is often there to help someone out with a problem, overlooking the fact that once you bring your will to bear on another, it's harmful, even if you think...

    So True...so True...

I am not Wiccan but one does not have to be to stand behind this belief. So many religions and governments attempt to dictate people's morality. A person's moral compass is their business and their business alone. So I feel as long as the individual is not harming anyone then...

Not As Permissive As It Sounds

"For the good of all, and the harm of none, As I do Will, so be it done." I am sure the other members of this group already know what this means, so this is for the benefit of browsers and the curious. This rhyme, or variations of it, is meant to be a safeguard. ...

    Go Right Ahead

    Energy Medicine

Take the 'if it harms none, do what you will' statement further. Are your actions causing energy imbalances and exchanges that are unhealthy or negative for others? I know not everyone is a Reiki master, but harm can be even one electron or tiny zap of energy being stolen from...

    Self-Regulating

I've always been disappointed in humanity's need to put faith in others - to hand the reigns over to another human and listen obediently to their will.  Why do we live by the words of other people...are they really any better than we are at deciding how our lives...

    Doesn'T Hurt

I would much prefer it if people stuck to the rule "you can do anything you want as long as it doesn't harm ore hurt anyone or anything." The world would be an easier place! And happier!

All my life I followed this - (this is the most natural of course) - looks like everybody else follows: 1. No FREEDOM. 2. "WE" rule. 3. MAKE CRIME. 4. You can do NOTHING.

    I'm a Wiccan, a Witch,

a Pagan, whatever you wanna call me. However, this rule I find to be contradictory; you can't always help harming something. We all breathe the same air... It's more like "do no harm but take no ****"

    Pretty Much My Motto

I may not necessarily agree with something, but I typically don't mind whatever it is as long as it's not harmful in some manner. That's the only instance where I'd definitely put my foot down in some aspect. I think things would be a lot better if more believed that way.
