I believe that Americans should all be trained

to carry their own gun. If a sociopath wants to shoot up a school, there should be law-biding citizens shooting back.

I do have a few reasons

why I believe in the second amendment. But most have already been said but I do have one main reason. If the government can get rid of an amendment witch was created to stop governments tyranny then who says that in time they won't slowly get rid of all of them? If they can say...

This Right Is Extreemly Important To Me

The right to bear arms is an extreemly important one. I don't own a gun but be sure enough my Dad owns enough for the both of us. We have the right to protect ourselves and our families. If they were to take away this freedom it would jepordize the very fabric of our nation.

    OK, I don't like them,

but here's a little quicky just for those who like smart quips that don't explain their point of view well. The 2nd amendment stands. In the year 2012, almost 13% of all homicides in the United States were justifiable homicides where someone was either protecting themselves or...

    Defense Of A Nation

Many people think the 2nd Amendment was for simpler weapons and that the writers of it would not allow many weapons we currently own to be owned by private citizens. That is total BS. The people had just overthrown an oppressive government they felt no longer represented them...

    Jefferson Said It Best

The Founding Fathers of the United States were brilliant. I think it becomes more and more obvious as we get older, and see through our own experiences what they knew well over 200 years ago. The 2nd Amendment is greatly debated in the USA...but only after tragic events of mass...

The 2nd Amendment protects all other rights

guaranteed in the Constitution. Nobody will take away my freedom of speech, worship, do me bodily harm or any other evil as long as I have the right to defend myself, and those I care about. I don't know how a man can be against the ownership of firearms. Ever since caveman...

ammo I stocked up on anything and everything I could find, including guns.

    The Assault Weapons Scam

Unless you've had your head in the sand, you haven't been able to avoid all the media hype surrounding the desire to ban assault weapons. This is understandable with the recent spike in mass murders. But should we, as a country, pursue a ban on assault weapons? Are assault...

Tragic Times For The Second Amendment

What a bummer. The president enacting gun laws? What the hell is going on? I wish I would wake up to find it was just a nightmare, guess not though. Why aren't more people wanting action against criminals, not guns? Don't people realize they're only hurting the good guys...

This is the right that guarantees the other

rights. Along with the right to own and sell property, the right to keep and bear arms are the foundational freedoms.

How To Defend The 2nd Amendment

Here are the 27 words that can lead to some interesting debates: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Gun grabbers tend to focus on two common arguments to nullify the 2nd...

I want to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

I support the right to bear arms. I do believe there should be some type of psychological/sociological testing first... And I also believe everyone should be able to tote *concealed* weapons in public. Why do you need to take your assault rifle to Target? Overall I think...
