When you share a life with someone, how much can their negativity affect you? Whenever I try to use the law of attraction and say things like "When we build our house.." my husband responds with things like "How are we going to pay for that? That is too expensive. That will never happen."

He is not a bad person, he just thinks like most people. I know you can't change people and I'm not trying to, I'm just wondering if the universe he's creating for himself will destroy the universe I'm trying to build.
