I don't know why people find it so hard to say please and thank you. Even my own family can't seem to figure out how to have manners. It's not like it puts you out or costs you anything to treat people with kindness and respect. That's one of the things that bothers me so much...

    I Agree

I agree. And people who don't use them are selfish and thoughtless, and I generally don't need to be around people like that. Charlotte

    Old fashioned perhaps.

Treat others like you'd like to be treated yourself.

Yet I was just complaining about this yesterday,

because people just seem to treat them like they are a million bucks to say. But I usually call somebody out when I see they have none. I'm sure I'll get my *** kicked one of these days......πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ½

I find it weird how easily people forget their

manners on internet. To me it's just natural to greet someone when starting a conversation. Ask the person's name , unless you wish to keep anonymity. I mean who on earth starts conversation with "you are hot" or calling you hun, baby, sweetheart in the very first message. I...

I hate Wal Mart. It's like,

as soon as people get into the parking lot, their IQ drops about 50 points. They lose all sense of courtesy, and they forget all about personal space. Was it always this way, or am I getting pickier as I age???

Manners Cost Nothing, But Require Something Even More Valuable

Humility. Without it, there is no way to recognize that all us humans are ultimately dependent on the kindness of others. Lack of manners is the simple, lazy way of broadcasting to everyone around you, that you value yourself so much above everybody else that the norms don't...

Indeed. Manners seem to be old story nowadays.

This new generation, including mine, suffer from a lack of real education. Not talking about scholar education, talking about education that teaches you that burping in public or cussing is WRONG. Education that teaches you to respect your elders, to be polite in all...

It bothers me that old fashioned manners are

eroding away with the newer generation and whatnot. Around here, it's almost rare to see a teenager or young adult offer to shake your hand or use Ma'am or Sir in conversation. Even my own generation barely does this. I mean, c'mon, it's not that hard to do.
