Certainly works! I was picking up a mate to go

to work one morning and a stunning girl walks past, blonde, slim, lovely face, walking her pet dog (it's half 7). anyway i absent mindedly follow her with my eyes (it's half 7!) and she looks back and gives a wonderful smile and giggles and walks on. Wish i'd had the courage to...

Smiling Changes The Neural State Of The Brain....

It's true. Smiling changes your perception, your mood, and boosts your immune system. How? With the release of that incredible feel-good neuro-transmitter, dopamine. But here's the best part about smiling.....not only does it give you a boost of dopamine, the beneficiary of...

A Smile Can Change More Than A Day.

A few months ago I was going to buy lunch in school. We have a cafeteria but they always only sell bread and sandwitches, which I dont like, so I always go to the shop close buy for a yoghurt. I remember standing in line to pay when I saw a friend of mine. Not really a friend I...

I think smiling at someone makes them feel

special. Too many people in this world feel lonely, unloved and depressed. It doesn't take any time or effort to smile at someone. I think a smile says "You matter, you are important and worth smiling at". It could really brighten someone's day! If I feel grumpy myself, smiling...

We live in a world where people bury their

heads in their cell phone, and I am no exception. Now, it is a novel treat to be walking down the sidewalk and have someone make eye contact. If we all looked up from time to time, and offered a greeting to those we share space with, we might have a happier community!

This is such a true and simple thing.

From personal experience, I know that being down and sad can really skew your perspective. Once you've already torn away all of the optimism in your day, it is hard to look at life with clear lenses. So when people don't smile at you on a normal day, you might just realize that...

And you continue smiling at people. Those people will smile back. Then they'll pass on their smile on to someone else, and that someone else will pass it onto another. And then we'll have a world full of smiling people! :)

I like smiling in general, but more so when it's at strangers. I live in a place where most people ignore others. I try not to be like that. I don't want to be like that. That's why I smile at strangers. In that moment between only the two of you, it feels like I'm sharing a...
