I do it every single day,

even when I don't necessarily feel like smiling myself (at least initially). You have no idea what everyone around you is going through and struggling with - if you could literally change the arc of someone's day through the simplest of gestures, why would you withhold that...

    This is so unbelievably true!

Smiling is contagious, and I believe sometimes we get so caught up in our busy world that we forget such simple gestures could brighten someone's day. I know it does mine.

it sure can :) I love randomly smiling at

grumpy looking peeps when I'm out and about..if they still look unhappy, I poke my tongue out or pull a weird face or do a little jig..then smile again.. 9/10 times you get a smile even if it's only faint.. :)

a senior citizen kept smiling at me today

when I was having brunch at my favourite juice bar. I quickly focused on reading my script for an audition on my laptop, pretending not to notice. the staring continued and I heard his family chattering about me, I only assumed the worst. then, something strange happened, I...

I may not have the perfect smile,

but I do believe a smile and the right attitude can surely change people's days. Because when strangers smile and greet me, whether it be holding open the door or waiting in line at the mall, it's the little things that can instantly change my day! So as I pass by some strangers...

and making their day change for the better. Everyone gets down about something from time to time. A smile from a friend or a stranger can make the difference for that person hurting.

I do believe that smiling at others can change

their negative attitude to a positive one. I have been depressed and others have smiled and spoken a nice word to me and it made all the difference in my world. It makes me smile back and say hello. I have smiled at others and they smiled back at me too and said hi. It is a...

    If you don't think this,

you are dumb. Picture the scene: if somebody is feeling down. They keep feeling sad for whatever reason. Nothing will change that. Then, they walk into a store with me as the cashier. I smile and they may or may not smile back. BUT the fact you did will put something happy in...

I like smiling in general, but more so when it's at strangers. I live in a place where most people ignore others. I try not to be like that. I don't want to be like that. That's why I smile at strangers. In that moment between only the two of you, it feels like I'm sharing a...

I think smiling at someone makes them feel

special. Too many people in this world feel lonely, unloved and depressed. It doesn't take any time or effort to smile at someone. I think a smile says "You matter, you are important and worth smiling at". It could really brighten someone's day! If I feel grumpy myself, smiling...

    I'm a kind of person

that lets other people's emotion sway my own, sometimes for better or for worse, but one thing I absolutely love is to see a nice genuine smile. So I try to smile when I can, because it's good to be cheerful about life when everything doesn't seem to go your way.
