My mom just doesn't want to listen to me.

I know I'm right but ever since daddy died she acts like nothing I say matters. Am I the only one with their sanity still intact?

I surprised my da. He taught me basic skills

in dismantling book bindings, washing pages and sewing the signatures back together but he always sent them out for binding. As an autistic boy I obsess about things and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Da found me in the middle of a project of restoring a prize of his...

As you may or may not know,

I've had selective mutism since I was about 4 years old. And over these past ten years, I've been through a lot- in fact, my entire life's events have revolved around this. Anyway, I've run into so many people, with a huge diversity of background, culture, religion, and most...

    So there's me. I'm 16.

I'm young and I'm impressionable. I've had my heart broken more times then I care to remember. But just because of my age am I unintelligent? Yes I may be naive and inexperienced. But I haven't been scarred significantly. I can still think without real prejudice like some...

I'm a teen, so basically whatever I say may not

be accurate or rational for an adult. But think about it a little, we're the ones who get to learn so many staff in our puberty. We may not know as many staff as adult know, but we learn and it's FRESH. And here's my point. We, teenagers, learn staff, process them and make...

    Officially, I'm 17. I feel 30.

I value intelligence, creativity and being able to think for oneself. What's the point in following the trends? That just makes you one of everybody else. How dull. Isn't being unique so much more fun!?

maturity and empathy its not about age

or how much of an adult you are its about the experience you have had and what you have gone through because I can at least say that going through what I have so far, I am pretty sure half the adults out there are not as matured yet

It's only natural. I was never smarter

than I was in my teens. I could make passing grades without doing homework or assignments simply by acing the tests. As I've gotten older though, I've gotten progressively dumber in spite of continually educating myself. The paradox (you teens might want to look up that word) is...

Adults think that we teenagers have not seen

Here's a great example - adults on EP trying to

"correct" teens, using terrible grammar and mechanics. And whatever they're trying to "correct" is usually a simple matter of belief. And then there's parents. They try to raise you to believe what they believe. To think like they do. Maybe the reason that teens rebel so much...
