Can't Win If You Don't Play, But Don't Be Afraid To Fold Either

Here's what I think.  If love is 'a gamble,' then it's best to pursue it when you have a good hand.  A good hand is not playing someone or trying to fool them, for then it isn't really love.  A good hand implies that there is probably good chemistry, common...

    It Is

It is risky, it has the chance for such a huge pay-off it has to have a risk to it. That's the way most things in life work. Love is one of the things that can make life worth living even in the darkest, saddest times. And if it doesn't work out, at least you'l have something to...

"A life without love is like a year without summer" - I think that's a Scandanavian proverb or something. I can't imagine never having loved anybody in my whole life. Not my parents, my brothers, my friends, my ex and now my wonderful fiance!   Ok, yes I was...

    Definitely Worth the Chance

Ok Some of you may think this girl is stupid she doesn't know what love is.  I believe that I am able to love as much as a teen is able to.  Love is definitely worth the gamble.  and what excites me the most about love? That if I am able to feel this amazing and...

    ACK! Snake-eyes Again!!!

Yes... is the one gamble that I'm addicted to. I am no stranger to rushing into the fires of love, taking a risk on someone I think is worth the gamble. And even though many have been a HUGE loss to me, emotionally and financially, that's okay... I'll will live to gamble once...

    Definitely Worth It

No matter how many times I get hurt and end up feeling worse, I always sign up for another chance at the earliest opportunity. I hope that never changes. Well, I hope I end up not being hurt at least once, but until that happens I hope I never get so discouraged that I give up...

Level Of Risk = Level Of Return

Just like financial investments, the riskiest ones have the potential for the biggest pay-off (or biggest loss). My husband of 10 years and I took a big gamble getting together, considering we were both at very different points in our lives and NO ONE thought we should be...

I Will Gladly Roll Those Dice...

I still see the counselor that my ex husband and I saw trying to save our marriage.  She was the 3rd in a string of them that we tried.  Each in turn had basically thrown their hands up in despair. JD and I now see her together….suppose we are trying to make...

I Keep Taking That Gamble - It Better Be Worth Taking

Heavens, if I'm afraid to take that gamble and love someone - how can I expect or ask someone to gamble on loving me. And, believe me I want to be loved  - and I do want TO love. What can I say. Things haven't always gone right. Well, to be more honest - I have not always...

     the Only Thing Worse ...

the only thing worse than failing, is failing to even TRY. If you feel it is love, do it right, but then do it.. always try to do it right morally - don't mess around or fool with peoples feelings, but if its real then yes, you have got to gamble.. but is it a gamble if its...

You know I really do believe this. The gains FAR outweigh any risk you may take. I would bet any price on love.

Maybe it's the gambler in me but I think the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. And I'm all in, I'm betting everything on an amazing connection. In 6 days it will either be the best move I've ever made or the worse... Either way it's a gamble and I'm risking...

    Yes I Do

I firmly believe the title of this group is true......for other people. I used to believe it was true for me as well but have decided that......i don't have the mental makeup to take this gamble with my emotions. It hurts too much when it falls apart and i don't react very well...

but do not go all in. It takes two to tango, and the way things turn out will depend not only on you, but obviously on another person, and external events. Do not be overly cautious, but be aware of the fact that you may very well lose. Save some cash for another bet.
