    I Like To Drive Alone

When I am driving by myself I love to crank up the tunes, and even sing along, thoroughly enjoying myself. Alas, I am alone in my vehicle rarely as I am in a carpool to and from work, and otherwise usually have a young child with me who likes to talk.

    The Reason...

The reason I generally do not answer the phone in my car is because I am jamming.  I just do not hear the ringer. . If I turned down the volume to make sure I did not miss your call - then you must be special.

Love To Crank The Tunes In The Car

Definitely blows the stress away to jam in the car.  Best way to tell your true friends from your frustrators is the person's reaction when you have to answer the cell phone with the music cranked.  Good friends understand.  Thinking of changing my message on cell phone to "If...

    It Is A Wonderful Feeling...

...when the warm weather comes, and the car windows can come down, girls' skirts can go up, and the music can be blasted into the outdoor air! I prefer music from the 60's, 70's and some 80's, especially the ones with jamming instrumental segments in the songs. The Classic Rock...

    Music Keeps Me Going

I always listen to music in the car. It makes me feel better and helps me pass the time. I love hearing new songs. I think that sometimes music can say things better than I can and they can explain how I feel better than I can. Although right now I hate songs about people being...

    White Ladder

I especially like to play David Gray's White Ladder. I love the way the bass shakes the mirror!

Lately I blast Citizen Cope "sideways".

The music and lyrics are amazing to me. The melody and chord structure allows the lyrics to say even more without saying it. The emotional content is left to your own imagination.

    Quiet Is Boring...

My parents always kept the music low when I was little, now that I can drive myself, I blast the music up! But, if someone's riding with me, I have to turn it down. :(

    Noise Pollution

The exhaust blows, the chassis rattles, the engine misses beats.I have to play it loud, the noise of my old car scares me otherwise.

    Loud And Free

One of my favorite things to do is to find a deserted back road on a nice summer or fall day, roll the windows down, and drive along, enjoying the scenery and listening to my music as loud as I want. It's freeing and makes me stop thinking about my stress for a while.

It's not so loud I can't hear myself think,

but I do like to blast it rather loud. If my hubby decides to nap, I'm cool with it because I can crank up the music and he sleeps right through.

true story. it's always great fun to pull up at

traffic lights and have to stop cause the lights red and the car is vibrating because there is so much noise coming out the speakers, getting some odd looks from the people in the car next to you. driving just isn't the same without the music turned up.
