    Apologies In Advance

But yes, in casual conversations, if you say something that resembles a song lyric that I know, be fully prepared to hear me belt it out.  Drives my kids nuts, but then, that's my job now, isn't it?  :) *singing* "I've got to be me!  I've JUST GOT to be...

    I Love to Sing!

Sometimes at home, we play the "singing game". You aren't allowed to talk. Everything you say has to be sung...the kids love it.  Husband isn't too fond of this game, but he is forced to play if he wants anyone to respond to him...the rules are if you don't sing...

    Working With Young Children

I work with young children, and I often break out into song around them. It makes them laugh most of the time, or just playfully ask me to stop singing. It's a pretty good tactic for changing a dull mood in the room.

    Or At Leat Quote Them!

A lot of the time I find it easier to express myself using someone else's words, and song lyrics are perfect to use.  When there's an emotion too big for me to handle, it's both safer and easier to quote song lyrics to get it out.

I sing everywhere.  In the shower, in the car, at my desk, while I'm grocery shopping.  I sing snippets of songs over and over, because I can't remember the lyrics.  If I'm feeling particularly musical I make up lyrics, to fill in the blanks. I can't sing.  I...

    Sing A Song

Their are just those days that I can't help it. I feel it raising up in my throat, lyrics to a song just waiting to be sung...by me. Singing out loud makes me feel good, it blocks my mind from thinking about negative things. So instead of thinking about such things, I instead...

    This Is Soooo Me!

Having two wonderful parents who would both sing around the house my whole life, its just natural for me to pop off a verse or two of whatever song is in my mind at the moment. I even sing to my co-workers! Not that I'm anything great, but hearing a person singing has always...

    Actually...I Do! ...

Actually...I do! I may be hanging out with a few people and someone, or even myself will say something that causes a random song lyric to pop into head...depending on how well I know the person/people depends on if I just think it or actually sing it...but usually the person...

Even Though I Have No Natur...

Even though I have no natural talent for singing, I have always loved to sing.  It's so exhilirating to express so much emotion in song....I believe that's why I love it so much.  Some of my favorites are songs by Rick Springfield, Gordon Lightfoot, Hal Ketchum, 60's...

    My Best Friend

Sometimes I don't even realize I am singing until someone points it out to me. I'm usually singing about what I'm thinking, and sometimes it can be the strangest things. When my granny died last month, I was cleaning and suddenly broke into song about it which caused me to...
