Down At The Low Tide Sands When the tide

goes out by day and the salty air reaches my nose, I can sense the cool salty ocean in the breeze as I search for new and more interesting seashell to pick up and collect to place on my dresser later on when I get home. I have collected a number of spiral shells as well as some...

I miss the time that I visited Boracay

and El Puerto Princesa with my girlfriend. It was so beautiful -- the clear water, the impossibly white sand, the strong sea shells. The water reached as high as our necks and we could still see the sand we were standing on clearly through the water. As the sun set, the sight...

every time I go to the beach. I absolutely love the ocean and shells and the beach. I have shells from Myrtle Beach, Cancun, Cozumel, Florida, and California.

I've collected shells from many different

coastlines. Next on my list is Sanibel Island, Florida. I love finding truly extraordinary shells. The thought that creatures create these little homes which then come into my possession just delights me. If I find an occupied one I put it back.

I have walked the entire day browsing the

shoreline for calcified treasures. I don't know why. Is it the Pisces in me? The briny air. The sand. The little waves lapping like playtime on my toes. Some shells are so beautiful, I imagine curling up inside them and drifting back out into the tide. Forever. But I'd only...

Who can pass up seashells on the beach?

?? Call me what you want, but I still father my bucket and shovel and collect seashells along the shore. FYI..., I also hold them next to my ear to hear the ocean roar louder...

    I love the beach, and

as I began to travel I made sure anywhere I went I would at least seek out one beach and take 1-2 sea shells it was my little souvenir of that country. Then I when I stayed at our holiday house that is surrounded by two major beaches I started to collect more and as a hobby I...

I really don't know why I live in the city

when I love the sea so much! I suppose it makes returning to allow the sea to caress my feet, my body, so much better, I don't know, I guess it is psychological perhaps. I am pleased I have almost completed collecting a sea shell from every coast on the Mediterranean sea. From...

I adore sea shells. My favorites are ones

that I collected when I was very young and one that I got as a gift from a friend. That one is a conch with some gorgeous pink inside; the others vary in size and color, and I hope to find more!

    Sea shells from the beach.

Pine cones from the forest. I have a shelf indoors where I put them.

After college, I was really broke

and went to Ireland and stayed at hostels. Because I couldn't afford to buy gifts, I collected Sea Shells in Galway and brought them home. Since then, I've done this in Ft. Lauderdale, Cancun, Miami, and soon I'll be in Key West.
