Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 102 People

    I Was Shy..

I was a shy child and remained so until my late teens possibly.  I don't have any clear defining date of when it dissolved, just that i know when i look back, it is not something I have been in a while. As a child, I did not like new people, I used to take a book...

    Can You Tell?

I used to be the girl who sat in the corner and didn't speak unless someone spoke to me. But now, I'm the one who speaks to people. I'm the one that brings others out of their shells. I've broken my shell. And I'm bloody glad I have!

    It Just Took Too Long

I wish I would have just figured it out years ago. I wonder sometimes what my life would have been like if I was more like I am now, back in my youth.

I Just Like Reading Your Stories :)

I cant say that I have conquered my shyness completely. Even my mother says that as a child I had a timid and cautious nature. I have intermittent moments when I don't experience shyness, but for the most part I am living my life through a foggy lense that is not helping me, that...

    I Beat My Shyness

I used to be held back by my shyness in a lot of areas of life. I was too shy to do many social things, (which kept me single) I suffered through other social interactions instead of enjoying them, I had a whole lot less fun at parties and I avoided a lot of get togethers. I did...

    Say What You Will, But.......

Having a false sense of superiority really helps. Call me a monster, but there are alot of idiotic people in the world. Once you realize this, talking to people won't be so tough.

    To The Stage

I used to be pretty reserved..it all kinda stemmed from my last few years of elementary school , all of middle school and first two years of high school...   I only had two friends as a kid..and right when middle school started one moved, and one essentially dropped out in...

    Maybe I Still Am

I had always been a shy child. Painfully shy. I never had more than a couple of friends at a time, one was more like it. It took me years to get close to someone. Which is why i had a difficult time in school as i was growing up. On top of that,i was a chubby kid. So while...

    The Occasionally Shynes Still Occurs.

But I still have my moments of shyness. I have a little panic attack and stutter like a buffoon. But it's only under the rare circumstances that a beautiful girl talks to me and intimidates me with her beauty. But for the most part I'm not shy anymore.

    Good One By Socrates

The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the od, but on building the new.
