    No Cable...

No TV... And it's been about 6 years since I've not watched much TV. The TV bugs me sort of, with it's pretenses. I've collected a fair number of DVDs over the years, and have a fine supply of great movies to watch when I feel like watching something. There are online...

Could? I've not owned one in my life (not

counting 42" computer monitors, haha). That's not to say I haven't been to places with one and occasionally watched, so I know what I'm missing. I'd say the hardest part of not having a TV is that my mother keeps trying to explain the latest soap opera over phone... "I think...

    I Could Live Without Tv

I can live without tv.  There's  not much good on it anyway.  I don't watch much of it anyhow so I'm almost without it.

    Tv

I could live without TV. I hardly ever watch it. The only time I really do watch TV is if I'm really bored or I just want some background noise.

    And I Will

I mean I will possess one, but I won't have cable or a converter box. I only like one show basically anyway. I have a DVD player and Netflix, and will watch movies!

    Quite easily!! For occasional entertainment,

it has its place. But daytime TV and reality programmes are an insult to human intelligence!!

Post Your Story About "i Could Live Without A Tv"

I could easily do without TV as I think it rules too many lives. I can't stand it when people are arguing over what to watch, or dominate the TV as seems to happen where I'm living at the moment. Sometimes I could just hurl a rock at it - would be the end of it - at least for...

    That's an understatement .

If we look at the countries around the world where they don't sit down and watch the television at every waking moment, the population I would think is on a constant increase . I know in my own case, chance would be a fine thing. I've often considered using my reproduction...

    TV Free And Fine

I have lived without a TV for six months. I made the decision not to buy one when I moved into my apartment, at least not right away. I was leaving a bad marriage, and the TV was always a fighting point. (That's all he did, and I'm not exaggerating). So I think I was a little...

    Have Been For Months Now

I've not had consistant access to a TV since last October, and I can't really say I miss it.  Pretty much the only thing I ever watched was news/weather...and I get those things online.  It would be nice to have one, but I don't really need it.

Back in college I didn't have a tv for three years and those were three if the best years of my life. It forced my roommates and I to have conversations, and if I ever did want to watch a TV show like the Simpsons, I would go over to a friend's house. I think I could do fine with...

It's true, I guess I'm a minority in that sense! The only downside to it is sometimes I miss the jokes people make regarding commercials, but I don't mind. People like explaining what those jokes are about and describing the commercial, which is more fun for me. I don't like...

When I have a tv I'll read a book will it's on. I don't pay attention to it. I usually turn it off unless the news is on. I would never buy a tv, the only time there's been a tv around was when I live with someone else.

    Boring And Irritating

I don't think anything bores me and irritates me more than watching TV. All the senseless babbling, stupidity, negativity, commercials and fake get on my nerves pretty quickly. My limit for standing TV  without leaving the room or turning it off is way below 2 minutes.
