I like it. It gives me a sense of serenity.

It's an escape from reality. It takes me away from the hectic city I'm living in. My mind is at peace when I just sit there and stare out into the ocean. All my worries and pain would disappear for a bit..

    Sitting On The Dock

When I was younger (likealmost 30 years ago) we lived in Coos Bay, Oregon.  My step-father couldn't get a job, in a sense.  He supported us by taking us out on the docks, and loading crab nets with chicken parts, and reeling in the crabs every hour.  Made a pretty...

I am missing Greece so much already.

.. The best part of the break over there was waking up at the crack of dawn while everyone was still sleeping and walking down to the beach, which was right next to our apartment... And while most mornings, nobody whatsoever was there. Just that alone time, right out in the ocean...

To me the vastness of the ocean is a reminder

of God. So deep and imeasurable. Last time I went there it was to scatter some of my 22 yr old son's ashes. He died of drug overdose 5 months ago. His favorite song was by Florence and the Machine, "Never let me go" we played it at his funeral. I see the ocean and remember him...

When I'm older, I want to live next to an ocean.

It's sheer immensity is breathtaking and utterly beautiful. One of my life goals is to learn how to surf! I've also been scuba diving before, in Mexico, and I'd love to see the Great Barrier Reef.

I really could. Just sit in the sand

and stare off into the distance over an ocean. It's so pretty. Especially when the sun is setting and the wind is blowing in your direction but not super hard wind just enough to give you a cooling breeze that is inviting and makes you want to stay there forever.

    Fond Memories

When I was a kid I used to live near the ocean, and would often rush home after school, hurry through my homework and then run the half block to the ocean, just to sit there until the tide came in. I also loved to toss bread crumbs at the seagulls, then chase them!!

Every Day For The Rest Of My Life

I swear I have sea water in my veins. The happiest time of my life was when I lived at the ocean. We had a four storey house at the top of a gorge going down to the sea. Our views were unrestricted and endless. My children were at school and kindergarten. Since they finished an...

It's easy to let the mind become calm

when under the trance of the oceans waves. It's easy to welcome clarity with sand between your toes. It's easy to get lost in the feel of the warm sun kissing your skin, melting away stress, fear, and negativity, leaving behind a blissful serenity.
