    Grandma

My grandmother was the person in my life who always made me feel loved.  Even though she's been gone for over 20 years I still dream about her.  Now that I have a granddaughter myself I try to be the same kind of grandma to my granddaughter that she was to me.  She...

    Crochet For A Good Cause

I crochet in my school's crochet club and we make little things for each holiday, like hearts for Valentines Day,shamrocks for St Patties, things like that. And we make a ton of them and then sell them to the parents. I started in 1st grade and I'm in 5th grade now. But not a...

    Crochet The Family Way....

One of my earliest memories is that of my Grandmother crocheting. She always had a mammoth bag of yarn with her, and she was always making something. I wanted to learn but I was the youngest grandchild and I think that she had lost most of her patience by then. One day, I was...

    Meditaion

I love to crochet for what it gives me. Peace of mind. While i am crocheting, it becomes a meditation of sorts . I get to solve my problems. Instead of the instant band aid fixes to my situantions. (be it relational or otherwise) i get to deep think about what my core issue is...

A Question - Patterns, Stitch Guides

I have the hardest time with patterns and all of the things I crochet are learned with the help of youtube videos. Any tips on how to get the hang of reading patterns? I am thinking I need to find a comprehensive crochet stitch dictionary. Either a physical book or online guide...

    I recently took up crocheting

and I actually like it. People say I shouldn't be surprised because it's in my blood (mom has a crochet business). My wrists and fingers hurt a lot, but I will learn how to deal with it because I'm going to continue to crochet 😊

I started mainly because I saw how much profit

you could make. My cousin would spend $5 on yarn and sell thing for upwards of 60 bucks! I guess money was the motivator. But besides the money, I do love the craft. My many unfinished projects should suffice as proof.

    Self-taught

Last year I taught myself how to knit. So a few months ago, I decided it was time to learn how to crochet as well. In the past two months I have completed one baby blanket and one tree wrap that will be used in my groups next yarnbombing project. I'm in the process of re-writing...

    I was 4-5 when I first started

and all I could make was triangles. I gradually got better and now I love making everything I can find a pattern for. I've done a lot of hats and purses which I sell but right now I'm really into scarves and blankets. It's something useful to do when I'm just stuck at home.
