I rather be sad than bitter

because at least if your sad ..then it will last a small portion of your time but if your bitter ...then you will get sick.

The ideal type of sad is the aesthetic.

To not do anything, but to experience it, it could be a Chopin Nocturne, a movie, book or contemplation of something in a slightly detached manner. Bitterness on the other hand is the whiskey that does not even taste good, and which one is continually throwing up from.

I will never become one of those people

who become bitter with the world just because I have been through some hard times. I may be sad, but I can work on becoming a happier person.

    Sadness is more natural

than being bitter. Sadness is always in the heart, because so much is wrong with the world. Bitterness is something you have to conjure up. People shouldn't hold on to bitterness, it just make life worse. If you are really sad, just cry, because bitterness will only harden...

Bitterness may lead you to ultimate destruction.

It gives you a bright idea to say things people would rather not hear/know. It often leads to break-ups. On the other hand, sadness is just a "generic feeling of pain" which can be treated by a sincere SORRY. Sad people remains there composure, and definitely they wont say harsh...

    I would rather be sad

than bitter as to be bitter causes bitterness in your life that will poison it to its core and if your sad its a simple case of changing what makes you sad and being happy. Bitterness it harder to fix or change.

    “Everyone is a little bitter.

We're born bitter. The personality itself is really just a very complex defense mechanism. A reaction to the first time someone said: "No you can't.” ― Marc Maron, Attempting Normal

My last words I said to my mother "You will

grow old alone and bitter". In all my years growing up, I have never seen my mother cry or be sad an emotion I have always thought she had the unability to express. Looking back, and experiencing my own sadness, I can finally understand why my mother became a bitter person...

    Bitterness makes you weak

and dependent on what causes it, it is a hunger that needs food all the time. Sadness is temporary, sometimes it caresses, sometimes it slaps on your face, but finally goes away.

It's not that I miss him I just miss 'us' and I'm afraid I will never find anything like that with someone new. The big problem is, I don't like anyone else either. How do you move on when.. You just feel empty. I am losing interest in everything and it doesn't help that my home...

Sadness and bitterness have a huge contrast

between one another. Bitterness is extremely difficult to just shake off. In fact, in some situations, it is inescapable. But it depends on the person. Some people may never become bitter. Some people may become bitter and then eventually snap out of it. Some people may...

Bitter is regret that fills bones,

a sour taste in the mouth, despise towards what has gone wrong, wanting to change it, thinking it could have worked out better. I'm still the latter, but is it possible that it'd be wistful, rather than bitter? I have no sour feelings, no anger, only regret.

Why am I sad? Because I know life is sad.

It will always be sad. We are conditioned by the money we have, by our health, the place where we were born, the habits we learn, the face and body we were born with. These things are so defying that there's few things that we can actually take charge of. And that's why I'm sad...
