I Deactivated My Facebook Account

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 47 People

because it pains me to see the updates.

As much as I would dread anything bad happening to the exquisitely few friends I have, seeing the good is somewhat....painful. Am I a bad person? I don't want to be. I want to be happy for my friends... and I am, to an extent. I am happy when someone gets married, when things...

Five minutes ago I deactivated my facebook

account. I love facebook so this was a very hard decision. I did this because although I have facebook friends I'm still very much alone. A few with social anxiety disorder claim they don't have friends but both people have stated they have best friends and are happy from them...

This site always makes me depressed. I left today for my own sanity, since I am getting upset over stupid crap because of depression. Hopefully this time it will be permanent. I doubt anyone will miss me anyway.

    I deactivated my Facebook account

because I don't see the point. I never saw it few years ago and I don't see it now. I don't see the point of only seeing other people's lives evolve when my life never did and never will. It's not like my life will get better looking at their posts everyday. My life will never...

    Goodbye Facebook....

I posted a song earlier today on facebook, and said how I wish the song was for me, and how it really upset me, and moved me to tears, and my GRANDMOTHER, of all people, had to say something hurtful to me, saying I brought on this pain, that it was MY decision to End it. Really...

For some reason, i decided to deactivate my fb

account… i know how useful it is, like documenting every event we have and to be connected to people that we haven’t seen for a long time etc.. but i think in my case it’s no longer healthy knowing that i spent most of my time browsing in news feed and thinking about what...

I'm working on submitting a job application

for another "dream job." To help me stay focus, I deactivated my Facebook account this morning. It's hard for me to admit that it's a distraction, but it is. Although I don't post frequently, I'd find myself liking other people's posts and checking out other people's profile...

I seem to keep deactivating and reactivating my fb account... i just get these urges to deactivate for whatever reason. Maybe because i dont have many friends on there or just the stupid things some people do on fb which annoys me, but i deactivate and reactivate way too often...

I have been on FB for a couple of years now.

I have connected with some people from my childhood and very seldom old co-workers. I don't have any actual friends to speak to. So I decided to deactivate my FB account. I hated my childhood. If someone would offer me money so I can relive my childhood, I would say no thank...
