    Shake My Hand, You Flake

I don't even care if your hand is sweaty, wet, dry, calloused, greasy, oily, disfigured, bloody, but if you offer it to shake, damnit I expect a SHAKE!!!  Not a finger or a light little nothing--SHAKE MY HAND!!!!  I want some strength, let me know you're...

Limp handshakes just feel gross to me. I don't know, but it feels all unnatural and so not cool. It feels like you're shaking the hand of a dead body, not a living person. And who wants to do that?

    Limp Hand Shakes Are Aweful

It feels so disgusting to get a limp handshake from someone. It's like grabbing a soft sack of flesh with bones in it. I've never made any sort of association with a limp handshake and someone's character or personality, though. When I first met who is now one of my closest...

    Dudes Always Trip Out

Seeing this group made me laugh. I believe in having a firm handshake. It shows confidence and strength. It cracks me up when I'm meeting a guy and he shakes my hand like a *****. I always wonder, is it cause I'm a girl & they think I'm going to be delicate, or are they trying...

You should shake hands with my brother-lol  Its like grabbing a fish....yuck. I told him once he needs to learn how to shake hands like a man. He has no idea. If you are going to shake my hand and are a man, you'd better give it a good crush. I always give a woman a good...

    Actually, I Hate Them

I always make an effort to give new people I meet a very friendly, warm impression with a firm hand shake and a big smile. I absolutely hate it when it feels as if I'm shaking a dead fish instead of somebody's hand. It gives me the impression that they think I am beneath them or...

    No Second Chances

If you can’t shake my hand firmly and like you mean it don’t bother.  I hate when people’s hands are either clammy, sweaty or the person can’t grip my hand firmly.  Esepcially if you are male you better shake my hand like you mean it or you won...

    Weak, Prissy

I do not like my brother's girlfriend. Neither do I dislike her, I just don't like being around her, and it is all because of a handshake. The first time she introduced herself to me, I went to shake her hand and she held it out like she was some sort of freaking princess...

yuck! the limp handshake is so creepy! it reminds me of child molesters, somehow. i don't know why. another type of hand contact i don't like is when people (especially creepier when it's men, somehow) have unnaturally soft hands. i used to get some of those when ...

    Were You Not Taught How

A firm hand shake is a wonderful thing.  It can tell a person a lot about you; expecially for a woman.  When you can give a firm hand shake you give yourslef more confidence and show others your confidence.  Most women are not taught how to give a good hand shake...

    Am I Wrong?

I rather enjoy watching men wince when I shake their hands. I get complaints about my handshake quite regularly. Does that make me a bad person? Note: If you're a dude and you complain about my handshake, you are telling me that you're a big baby. That's for letting me know...

You Never Know When to Stop..

sometimes the other one's pretty much directing the hand shake and it's like "up-down-up-down" but if it's a limp hand shake it's like "up-down-up-down-up-down..." and you never know when to stop because the other one doesn't change the intensity and so you...

Working with all guys and dealing with GM's and VP's you have to be aggressive... especially in a business that's mostly men. I know how to give a proper handshake... not too soft and girly but not "OMG IT HURTS" either. There is a happy middle and I often find that the...

I Expect a Nice Firm Grip

All of us out there have shaken a lot of hands, but one thing I don't like is a limp hand shake because I am a man and not a girl. I try not to shake people's hands because of germs, so I wait for people to shake my hand, and when people go to shake ...

There is something so weak about a limp hand

shake. My grandfather told me when I was very young, to grip a person's hand when they extend it, and shake it in return. You certainly don't have to accept a person's extended hand, but if you choose to, don't be half *** about it. When I shake a hand firmer then a grown...

    Limp Shake

I hate limp hand shakes. If I've just been introduced to someone and they give me a limp handshake, it says to me, "I really don't care to know who you are". And if I've just discussed an issue with someone, and we're finalizing an agreement, a limp shake says, "I...

A Woman's Handshake Should Be Strong.

As a woman living in a country that doesn't have a tradition of women shaking hands, I always offer my hand to both men and women when I meet someone new.  Straight away it shows the other person that I am strong and honest - but when a man offers me a palid, limp handshake...

Limp Handshakes Are A Passive Aggressive Superiority Complex.

These types have never been educated in "Etiquette 101"..Next time some put up a limp hand, I'm just going to stare at it and then ask them, where you raised by a King and Queen?...This is how you shake! Bam, see! Easy! Nice to meet you!

    Nothing Annoys Me More

Some people just throw it out there, like their hand's a dead slab of flesh. It's kind of creepy. And wtf am I supposed to do with that? Perhaps they expect me to get down on one knee and press my lips to it? I don't generally initiate handshakes unless I'm going for a job or...

It is so insulting. It's difficult to fathom how a person can do this repeatedly to people and not get punched. I'm not old-fashioned and I don't like being touchy touchy but if you are going to shake someone's hand, just do it and don't act like a callous wimp because it...

What is in a hand shake?  A strong firm hand shake says hello this is who I am, I am pleased to meet your acquaintance, I value you, I care what you think and I am confident in myself.  The other part of this equation that can not be neglected is to look the person...

    Don't Trust a Limp Handshake
