    Family Is Love

I was adopted as a baby. I was not blood related to my parents and yet, I was loved and cared for. I have found my biological mother's family (she had already passed). While I was not raised with my sister and three brothers, we are still family and love and care for each other...

    Blood Is Just Dna

I don't think blood has anything to do with being family, it just means you share DNA. My mother is the one that gave birth to me and lived in the house I grew up in, but she is not my mom. I don't consider her to be anything other then an incubator. On the flip side of that my...

The truth is it's not blood

that makes a family it's the bond. People can be related and not feel a connection but others with completely different backgrounds can connect. That's what a family is about, a connection, a bond, something that holds eveyone in place

Some of my family members are

or were real jerks. I don't have any siblings, so I'm talking about aunts and uncles, cousins, etc. And some of them have treated me like ****, so **** 'em.

I figured out that one of my cousins got put

out by his mom because he came out as a homosexual. And I think that is the biggest example to me of how blood doesnt make family. If her love for her child is that conditional to him being heterosexual then in my eyes thats not real love. And frankly I cant help but find it...

In my eyes blood don't make you family.

Yes, it makes you related, but loyalty make you family. All family can't be trusted. My husbands family stole, lied and cheated him (well us) out of whatever they could. So we had to cut them off. He had to learn to love them from a far.

Water May Not Be Thicker Than Blood, But It Sure Does Taste Better.

I have come to realize that some friends are more like family than your actual family..My family isn't the greatest.. Actually most of them just suck..So my friends have become my family.I don't know what I would do without my "chosen family".My friends are amazing. :)Water may...

there are 2 kinds of family,

    1. family by blood, IE. mom, dad 2. family by bond, IE. 2 really close friends that are "brothers" or in my case, adoptive family... I may not have the same last name, but I'm as much part of this family as my adoptive dad is

Having had some serious problems with career ,

love, and pretty much everything in my life, I've come to realise that I can't ever be a mother and that pains me. I smoke(I had quit for a month), I'm on antidepressants, (can't be pregnant on anti depressants) and I don't see my situation improving soon. I'm soon going to...

I've Learned This The Hard Way

just because your related by blood (allegedly) doesn't mean you care about each other. i'm not complaining or anything since i know there are a lot people with worse families out there but those who do have them know what i say when i make this group.

    blood makes you related.

unconditional love, support , laughter, sharing the good and the bad times makes a family. I have plenty of blood relatives that are not family.

This Is True And Not True

Just Because You’re Blood, Doesn’t Make You Family

Family to me means the people who are there for you i good times and bad times. Blood related people aren't always there. In my experiences, I find blood relatives will be the first ones to screw you over and the non-blood related are the first ones there to help you when you...

    I Believe Love Makes Family..

I don't think being a family has anything to do with being blood related, and I don't think it matters.  We can make our own family in life.  Anyone can give birth to a child, or make someone pregnant. True family is about love, not blood. I will continue to make my own...

    True Family

They're the ones that are always by your side without waver. Even through all the thick and thin, and after any and every time you may hurt them.  The true loyal and best friends.

    They say never forget

where you come from- it will guide you to where you are going. In other words your background is your identity - you may not think its not your identity but memory is a forever storage. Don't let that block you , don't let that stop you - don't hold back!! Most importantly...
