I Do Not Fear Death

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 355 People

death is no big deal really,

no more taxes, no more paycheck to paycheck and i doubt i've done anything to tick off the good man upstairs so i'm good with it. i don't think i need to go out of my way to encourage it, but it doesn't scare me

    Fear No Death

Maybe dying, and how it may go. And if I don't fear death then why haven't I stopped fearing life and concerning myself with what others may think or react to my real thoughts? "good, you?" Has become a trained response when people ask how I'm doing. I rarely speak my mind...

I Didn't Use To, But Now?

I haven't feared death for a long time now. Death was familiar. Death took many that I loved. It wasn't that I thought I'd join them, but I saw that life went on. I saw that I would one day be planted in the ground too. And all the problems, and all the joys, all the worries...

I do not fear death, the manifestation

nor the action of dying. What I fear is the pain that comes with it. I force myself to believe it's the only way out, if I just took my own life I could end this tragedy, put everyone else out of their misery thus ending my own. I long for death itself, but to abandon the few...

Let me start by saying that my feelings on death are not attributable to any religious dogma. Everything that lives likewise, dies. I believe that the willful persistence against death is wholly unnatural. It is one thing to fight against your own death when you are young and...

Why I Do Not Fear Death

I used to be worried about death, and to a degree, I still am, but ultimately, no, I am not afraid of death. Like everyone else in the world, I have reasons to fear things and to not fear things. One of the things that does not really scare me is the prospect of death. Without...

I kind of want to die .

I'm not saying I'm going to commit suicide, but if I was crushed by a piece of heavy equipment, or the roof caved in on me, or choked on my vomit in my sleep I wouldn't mind. I just want to go in an unexpected way

I've danced at the edge of Death's chasm before.  Many times.  By now, I see no call for fear.  Death is but the shadow side of life, the dark side that as creatures of the Light we cannot yet know.I've seen true evil and horror here on this side of the gap; I see no reason to...

There isn't a logical point to being afraid to

die. It's a natural part of life, and will happen to all of us. The point was never to hide under the blanket, dreading the day, nor was it to get from point A to point Z. It is always the journey getting there, and the pathway you choose to take to live the best life you can...
