I Do Not See the Message In Reading Books About Self Help

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 5 People

    I Don't Think I've Ever Read A One

I always thought they were hokey, and wouldn't give anythign back. I did read one for adults molested as children hoping to recover stuff in the early nineties. I'd rather bury myself in an enticing book about others problems lol..that will get my mind off mine

    As I Am Reading

Don't get me wrong, I read them all the time but why are they called "self help".  I didn't write the thing so how is the advice there helping myself?  Oh well, just something I am thinking about as I read Steve Harvey's new book.
