I Don't Believe a Hard Life Is An Excuse For Acting Badly

    Thank You!

I can't stand it when people who commit crimes always have the same cop out excuse by saying I had a terrible childhood so that's why I robbed a bank or shot someone in the car I was traveling in! I mean, they need to have some serious education repeated to them if they believe...

There Is No Excuse For Being An Arse Hole.

My sister-in-laws boyfriend is a violent, alcoholic, drug addict. He hits her, he even did during her pregnancy. She sees this as normal. Her father is violent too.  A while ago, Steve (The darling boyfriend) punched a window and had to have several stitches in his hand...

    Strength From Strangers

I have met a lot of wonderful people living less than OK lives and acting perfectly nice. They don't complain, they face their days with a knowing smile, like they are saying, "Go ahead, throw another challenge, I think I can take it." A taxi driver I...

    It's So Common

This is a subject that is touchy for me.I grew up very poor, with little worthwhile education besides what I decided to learn on my own from reading everything I could get my hands on, and I was exposed on a regular basis to drug addiction, alcoholism, domestic violence, sexual...

Never an excuse to do bad to another human

or animal. I was raped and beaten and neglected. as a child to teen. But I became opposite. A Buddhist and I try everyday to help people emotionally and physically. I always forgive but never forget we learn from our experiences and if we don't learn we'll never become who...

    Seriously I believe this,

but when because I am on hard phase people act badly I feel disappointed. I don't want to react badly to them. I will calm me because this phase will also pass.

I've heard of hope in a faceless man.

I've heard of love in the heartless. I've witnessed the dark in people turn to light. I've seen time change people in all the right ways. I've seen people free of all their sins. I've heard the hardest men and women begin to laugh. Their laughter as soft as chimes and church...

I've been thinking a lot today. I searched "hard life" because there was a story I wanted to share. This group much better suits what I was initially looking for, as it is exactly what I wanted to say. I won't go into the spill of how effed up of a hand I was dealt. I...

    My Dad's Wife's Daughter...not My Step-sister

My dad's wife's daughter is an idiot. she had five kids before she was 18, two were twins and she had a restraining order against the father at the time they were conceived because he was stalking her and the whole thing wasn't legal because she was 15 and he was like 22...

    Wow at this group. Yes,

I feel the same way. I have had a hard life every day. Doctors are amazed it hasn't made me bitter, depressed, angry, vengeful, etc. I was born a certain way. It doesn't mean I have to be mean. I was abused multiple times in every way. It still doesn't make me mean. I refuse to...

No, its not. So many people have faced crazy

situations. But they try their best no matter how hard to make the most of it. Some people are so insultive even to people they just met. maybe because of a bad ex relationship or friendship. Really, its not an excuse

He Abuses Because He Was Abused....

No I do not accept this and neither should you. Here I stand before you as living proof that someone who was sexually abused doesn't then turn around and sexually abuse others. I won't accept "His mother didn't love him..." as an excuse either, it doesn't wash, by...

You Get to Choose Who You Are

No one else can control you, no one else can make you do anything. Every decision you make throughout your life is your decision. I can understand the emotional torture obtained from having a bad life, from losing one's parents or being beaten or sexually abused as a child. But...

    Never Justified

I am tired of bleeding heart liberals saying that these poor little pukes do bad things because of bad things that have happened in their life. They use terms like cycle of abuse. They are full of crap that they can not help what they do. Victims tend to go one of two ways...

It's so easy and convenient to pass the guilt

and blame into either another's shoulders or be because if an out of character reason. Face up to it like an adult - you've done the wrong doing and so are responsible. Learn from the mistake too and try to improve from it.

Couldn't Have Said It Better Myself

I think many people tend to focus on what's hurting them or making them uncomfortable and want company for their misery. I have to say that I've been one of those people but through God, I am learning to understand why bad things happen. Also, how to deal with and move on from...

    Personal Opinion. Yeah.

Boohoo. We've all had hard times. This doesn't give us the right to treat others as if it is all their fault. Whatever bad has happened is unfortunate, but who ever said only sunshine would fall on us all? I am not responsible for their bad lives and I don't hold anyone else...

I think those who act bad and try to blame it on their hard life, should look really hard into their hearts, It's mostly because they think others are responsible for their hardship.

    So True

Excuses, any excuse, for bad behavior is wrong. At some point they become acceptable without another thought. Like the 'Twinkie Defense' in a murder trial. Bad form and bad policy. We all should be better than that.

Yep... I've had a very hard life. There are some who had it harder than me, I'm sure. But my hardships is nothing to sneeze at either. =p But, I don't use it as an accuse to be mean, rude, or cruel to others. I use my bad experiences as a learning tool. And I go about to help...

    Some Thoughts

First off, let's talk about hard life. Hardships come in everybody's lives. You won't find a single person who says "Life's Easy" Well maybe in a commercial they would, but not really. There is no single person who hasn't thought thoughts like "Everything is against me...
