    I Can't Stand It

There's always been something about red meat that I have never quite liked. How stodgy and unappetising it is, just puts me right off it. Don't get me wrong, I'll try everyone once, I've tried all sorts of meat, only to find out that I hate red meat with a passion, but I ...

    It Is A Health Choice

I read a couple of articles in the newspaper about how red meat has been linked to digestive cancers in people with a family history.  My father suffered from problems with stomach cancers.  About 20 years ago, he had a big operation on his stomach for a rare stomach...

    Love It

I love steak, hamburgers, and many other choice cuts of beef but I rarely eat it because of my health.  I was happy to read this morning that there was a new study showing that red meat is not a bad thing and can actually help one lose weight.  I may have to revisit...

It started when I was young. My parents couldn't afford steaks, burgers, so we mostly ate fish and chicken. After migrating to America at the age of 15, we were surprise to find meat so affordable and readily available. I tried it and decided I didn't like it. Then I got...

    I Gave Up Eating Meat

When I was seventeen, I learnt about the slaughtering of cows in my culinary class. The day after I decided to completely remove beef from my diet. I then told my father when he picked me up from school that I was changing my dietary way. He snorted at me and told me I am stupid...

Since travelling to India in February I have

stopped eating red meat. I am pretty sure that I wanted to find a way to stop eating meat and somehow the trip gave me the excuse to experience it for three weeks and then carry on afterwards. I do feel mentally and physically happier.

Well, not quite. But this is something I hope

to accomplish when I move out in a few years and start really cooking and buying food for myself. This isn't about "animal rights" because animals are animals to me. They definitely don't deserve the abuse they go through in many slaughterhouses, but they're not the precious...

    Almost Never!

I stay away from red meat as much as possible.  "You don't eat hamburgers?"  Yes, I get that a lot.  I also have never eaten steak (that I can remember) and I NEVER will!  It almost makes me sick to think of cutting into a slab of flesh like that...

No Meat Please I Do Not Care What Color It Is...

I stopped eating meat of any kind altogether.  If you eat dead things your body gets all sorts of problems. We eat things that have blood running thru their veins, have faces, feelings, and give birth to other beings.  Big money and tradition will tell you this is okay. Here is...
