I Don't Like It When People Are Late

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 352 People

Nothing ****** me off more than lateness.  I have this one friend who is perpetually late for EVERYTHING.  I can't tell you how many times I've sat in her driveway for 20, 30 minutes waiting for her to get home from the store when I was supposed to be picking her up for...

Think Of How It Effects Others

I don't mind if someone's late with a good excuse. But the ones who are habitually late really irritate me. It's selfish and disrespectful. If you give them suggestions on how to be more on time they won't ever take them. Some people think being "fashionably late" is okay. Some...

The Audacity Of Me To Even Think About Joining This Group....the Shame Of It!

I am late pretty much everywhere I go..I had a "mini" dyslexia test before Christmas...I seem to be okay for this, but do tend to "fit" more for dyspraxia.... I have always had difficulty in being on time, for anywhere, you can forget being early..I am trying my best...it has had...

    Don't Make Me Wait.

I hate it when people are late.  I am always 15 minutes early for my appointments and when someone keeps me waiting past the time that the appointment is scheduled really irks me. DO NOT MAKE ME WAIT FOR YOU OR ELSE!!!

    It's Really Rude

But people don't really seem to care about being polite any more. I don't understand when people are late, like, what's the point? I always am very punctual, I don't really like to be too early (except in certain situations: doctor's appointments, interviews, etc.), but I...

    Come On Already!!

I was raised to believe that less than 10 minutes early is the same as being late, so I have little patience with the chornically tardy.  I understand that life sometimes gets in the way-- everyone has been caught in an unexpected traffic jam at one time or another. ...

Last year I invited a few friends to travel to

Graceland with me. I also invited my sister to come. I pulled up to my sister's house and told her to come on. She told me to wait 10 minutes while she put her makeup on. After waiting 15 minutes, I pulled away and received a call from her 25 minutes later asking her where I...

    It's Understandable, Once

Repeat offenders, and you know who you are, you drive some of us crackers, just so you know. Please at least try to leave five minutes sooner, then you might actually leave one minute sooner.

You Know Where and When ?

I do not understand how some people are always, late. If you know when and where whats the problem. It' not the people that run into heavy traffic or constuctionthat bother me , those things are beyound our control. It's the ones that are always behind, because they don't look...

    I Just Don't Get It

I'm have a small dinner party this evening for a few friends. One of them - who's actually normally pretty punctual - has warned me that she might be late because she's watching a sports event on television that might run into extra time. OK, it's great that she's warned me, and...

    So Rude

I loathe lateness, because of what it says about the Expected One's attitude to the Waiting One. The longer I am made to wait for someone, the clearer it becomes that the Expected One really doesn't care about my feelings. My ex wife runs on her own time. She enjoys being late...

I have a lenience of about 5 - 10 minutes. Anything after and I tend to become somewhat annoyed. My Auntie is usually the last to turn up when we all meet up at a restaurant for a giant family dinner. Mostly 5 or so minutes. Although recently, she's become more on time as her...

    IT'S Just Rude!!

Why do people think it's ok to spend MY TIME? My best friend is a 'piddler'  not in the Brittish sense of the work (peeing).. but she piddles around..  attends to everything that come up along her path..  takes forever to get out the door just for lunch.

The Marketplace doesn't want to hear your

excuse about why you're always late ... all it understands is that you are not showing up on time.. which makes you consistently inconsistent

    Get A Watch

Other than really bad traffic or someone being sick there is no reason for people to be late.More now than ever, there are time pieces everywhere.  If you are not wearing a watch, which you should since they are cheap and easy to get, you can find the time on your cell phone...

When I was playing I was never late

for a gig. It bothers me that some people think their time is more important than mine. That said, sometimes I bother myself. Nobody's perfect. Lol

    No Tolerance For That

I live in a country where being late for a meeting or appointment is okay. Being late for 15 to 30 minutes or even longer is acceptable. But not for me. I hate people who are not punctual. Yesterday, I arranged for an appointment with a contractor regarding my new house. I've...

    Early Or Else...

I have some friends who made me late a lot to classes because we were carpooling. They once made me 20 minutes late. I was so mad. Problem was the one friend didn't even come to class with me...I can not stand it when people are late. It's unacceptable. Early or you are fail.

I am a very "on time" person. I don't understand why you can't be on time. You know what time you need to be their, so, get your *** in gear.
