I Evidence Absolute Correspondence With That Exposition.

Why yes I concur completely. Individuals exacerbating the complexity of their communications by employing egregiously obfuscatory verbiage must be ostracized post haste.

we were always told by our English teacher that the worst thing you can do in an essay is come across as pretentious, or misuse words because you do not fully understand their meaning. longer words do not necessarily describe something in a way that short words cannot, they just...

    I Don't Hate Them

I haven't ment these big word people in a long time. It must be that I don't have that many people that talk to me. But if it happened I would as them to explain what they were saying in English.

    Big Words

I love big words. They are sexy. I actually have a shirt that says Big Words are Sexy. (You can guess where the word "Big" is placed.) But it's all in the delivery. You can tell when the snazzy words flow naturally from the tongue or if someone's just using...

There is no need for it And usually they are not used in the correct context at all. I have to read many articles and write up assignments with the same format of language, and truthfully, it is the most demotivating aspect to reading and writing.   However I do...

    Big Word Alert

I don't mind people that use big words, in fact I love big words; but if you use them to make others feel stupid...then shame on you.

    Point Taken

You can very well get your point across without using big words...matter of fact, you can probably get your point across more effectively if you don't.  Unless you're studying for the SATs or something and you're using big words in your stories to practice for the Verbal...

If you're going to use words then use them with

meaning. If you don't know what it means then shut up! No one wants to hear. Is also saving you because you could be like "The party last night was so monotonous and I had a great time!" .... -.- you just made yourself a fool.. Monotonous-boring Dingdong!

    The Step Monster

He did this often and almost got his back side kicked on more than one occasion for it. I have no issues with intelligence but give me a break. I shouldn't have to hunt down a dictionary to read an email.

    Sometimes You Should.

Sometimes the 'big word' is the more accurate word for the situation. Although I do agree that people who mis-use big words to appear smart are quite annoying.  I guess it's all in the intent, I am more annoyed with people who use the same word over and over...
