With people who you can tell a big long story to

and they sit there talking to them self about something random. Someone I know did that to me a few times today. We recently lost contact and I had no way to get a hold of her then she calls me up and wants to keep calling back and forth. I thought to myself why do you even...

I always sound and feel awkward

and don't know what to say. Talking face-to-face is fine and texting is good. But I don't like talking on the phone.

I don't know what it is.

If it's the authentic way the other person sounds otp but I don't like it. It just feels unemotional and unreal.

I wish it was socially acceptable to have

as my voicemail: "I've seen your name on the caller ID and if you know me, hang up and just text me". Phones are terrible, instant locator devices. I'd rather talk face to face.

I get very anxious when talking on the phone with anyone. I would much rather be in-person, or to text with the person.

    Social Suspect

I hate phones. Having a phone seems to mean that anyone with your number feels entitled to take a slice of your life whenever they so feel like it. I like to talk, but I get on the phone and it is hard to get off, so I hate it. I hate hearing them ring, I hate the way they...

To be honest I prefer doing things in person,

a guy who used to be in my life constantly taught me that :) he preserved the old ways in him and I have chosen to live my life by some of those old ways because that is just the respectful way to do things. Sure it may be easier on the phone to confess or turn someone down but...

    I have severe anxiety

when it comes to making calls to other people. If I call someone, my voice will be embarrassingly shakey, my heart will pound in my throat, and sweat will excrete from every possible pore. And that's just when I talk to a random peer or something, so imagine now what would...

I hate talking on the phone in general. Especialy to the people who just call to talk but they have nothing to say. I didn't call you for a reason, because I had nothing to say. I hate it when they expect you to keep up the conversation like its not wasting you time because of...

    I don't know why but I get

so anxious when I have to call or answer a phone. I think it's because I can't see their face or read their body language.

I don't like talking on the phone

when I hear the other person tv blasting, music blasting. I also hate when they interrupt my conversation for the other person topic then come back on the phone with me.

This is why people fight a **** ton.

Text equals no voice inflection. Talking is so much better but EP doesn't feature that, unfortunately. :( :)

It's Not That I Hate Talking

I didn't answer because I don't know him too well (i'm uncomfortable talking on the phone with strangers) and I just don't like being on the phone talking. But since he said he has a question I guess i'll just call him back.

The radiation on the cellphone kills me

and there is no home phone here. People who text and talk on the cellphone do not value your time because it is quick and convenient communication. Plus, people hate getting calls these day even though they should be treated as a delicacy.
