I Don't Like Talking On the Phone

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 2,940 People

Once upon a time in the days of the early 1990s,

Leah had just gotten a brand new phone. It was amazing, it was fantastic it was ridiculous HUGE! She had time carrying it around.... She showed the huge phone to her friends. They were amazed by the technology. You could take this thing and make calls anywhere at anytime for...

    Ring Ring...no One Is Home!

I used to sit on the phone for hours with boyfriends singing lyrics to hideously emo songs. But NO MORE! Don't call me because I will not answer. The phone hurts my ear, distracts me, and makes me feel uncomfortable. I am not able to see other people's emotional expressions or...

Since I was a teen I hated talking on the phone. I still hate having to make calls. No reason really. I justget this feeling and I force myself to call. I feel calling up friends and hanging out on the phone is a waste of time. When I get off I feel tired too. LOL Its just not...

To be honest I prefer doing things in person,

a guy who used to be in my life constantly taught me that :) he preserved the old ways in him and I have chosen to live my life by some of those old ways because that is just the respectful way to do things. Sure it may be easier on the phone to confess or turn someone down but...

I really never have anything to say over the

I really do. I prefer to keep it basic

and short. I always want the other person to get off the line as quickly as possible. Face to face and written conversations are much more preferable.

I really don't like talking on the phone.

I only call people when I have a question, need to tell them something, or check up on a friend if we haven't spoken in a while. I hate when people call me with no purpose. No I do not want to just sit on the phone with you, I hate that awkward silence on the phone. I'm awkward...

I don't like talking on the phone.

I feel uncomfortable every time I ask the other person to repeat themselves bc I either can't understand or didn't hear them. Thats why I prefer texting. Anyone agree?
