I Don't Like To Talk About My Feelings

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 324 People

I don't get the big deal.

I don't care if I understand how I feel, or even know how I feel. Self awareness at that level is painful. Besides, talking about it is so nerve wracking that it takes too much energy and something that is supposed to feel better feels worse. I can't stand it when people think...

i will talk about almost anything.

i will not talk about my feelings. it's easier to keep it to myself than to find the words to make others understand half of what I'm saying.

    I like sharing opinions

and ideas but feelings is a bit too personal. Even my best friends and boyfriend knows I'm someone who just keeps it to myself. Not wanna be dramatic and all sad...it's just because I like it so. I'm full of life but feelings are just for me and nobody NEEDS to know.

I think vulnerability is a mistake most of the

time for me. I don't like being vulnerable and allowing others to know how I think and feel. It's a hard enough time getting people to even bother listening and most of the time the advice they give is retarded. Today I made a mistake and asked a single friend of mine who's...

    Sophismata Effusio

I have a very conscious and reasonable mind. Always able to see the right in a matter. But my heart does not share this trait. Often it (and I being it) feels emotional about something that cannot be changed. Something that has unintentionally gone against my wishes. Something...

Nice Girls Don't Get Angry, And Other Myths.

This is what I was taught as a child: Don't air your dirty linen in public. What happens in the home stays in the home. Don't show emotion in public. No one wants to see that. Cry when you're alone. Nice girls don't get angry. Polite people don't disagree with other people...

    Have you ever read something

that killed you inside? like a text message or someone’s status. everything was going fine until you accidentally came across something you didn’t want to read. Or you found out something you were better off not knowing. it’s almost as if it was posted just to purposely...
