Cause i can only speak for the schools my kids attend in the UK, but am shocked at what some children are now allowed to get away with, there isnt any respect anymore through lack of proper disilpline. My son is only 6 and the punishment dealt out for a couple of boys in his...

    Just Tape?

I saw a article where a teacher was in jeopardy of losing her job for putting a piece of tape on the mouth of a girl who would hush.. Teachers have nothing anymore. When I was in kindergarten they would make you wear the big mouth.. It was a sign that you had to wear around your...

Sometimes makes me glad I went to private

school. Teachers were in charge and we knew it. We were also able to learn unlike some public school environments today

    It's Not

i graduated from hs in 2007, and it was awful. I mean, kids have more rights than the teachers AND parents. i think teachers need to start whippin ***. Bottom line get out a belt, and get the job done! Look at the younger generations vs. the old-...need I say more?

A report came out yesterday, from the Minister of Education, that teachers can you use 'force' to deal with unruly children. I think he needs to spend a week in a school just realise the stupidness of that statement. 1. Most children now go to school armed. 2. Where is the...

    Well Said

When I was young, we used to think that teachers are GOD/GODDESS to us. We adored them, scared of them, respectfully. In fact, the teachers are right, always right and we're always agree with them. Now, the kids are too comfort where they're 'overly pampered'. I'm not blaming the...

    There Isn't

It's unbelieveable how lenient schools have become since I went. Power and authority has been taken from teachers to the point that kids just seem to run the place. If a teacher attempts discipline, the kid's parents come in and scream at the teacher! What is wrong with people??

I am still currently attending a school (year

    10) and some of the people are ridiculous, it isn't even any of the few special needs people we have either, there are just a few idiotic morons, who think they're cool, they want to be the residential badass of the area, tearing up the teachers Mafia style, to a certain extent...

repost My point of view the grown up kids in

the teen's to 30's age bracket seem to behave very much like kids. I blame this for parents not taking a greater interest in raising their kids and more interested with work, social status etc. kids are being raised in the “automatic mode”, with TV and Facebook where they...

Not Enough Discipline and Not Enough Motivation

Motivation and discipline go hand by hand if you look closely to its relationship. I often hear and see by myself how no one learns anything and they just want to get a good grade and pass the class . Hell i have been there! But why so ? I dont feel motivated , its like im...

I worked as a teacher in the UK from 1952

and as a headteacher from 1967. I taught mainly in three private preparatory schools for pupils from the ages of 5 to 13 (two of them from 8 to 13). For the majority of my career, corporal punishment was liberally used in the schools in which I worked. I firmly believe that...
