Yeah, I Don't Understand It At All.

Not entirely my experience but close enough. When my father was 16 years old he took my grandfather's car without asking and ended up getting into an accident. Instead of worrying about whether or not my dad was hurt my grandfather was extremely pissed off and from what I hear...

    Major Heartbreak

I know how some of the children feels. My Dad had disowned me once or twice in my lifetime. I don't understand how anybody can do that as well. It confuses me especially since I'm one of those children. My younger sister has it worse than I do and my dad's first child. He is so...

    I Was Disowned

I was born in Russia and was put in the orphanage at 14 months old. At age 6 I was adopted, but the family was really abusive. Now my third family is perfect with 16 brothers and sisters who I can relate to. Like they say, third time is a charm!

    I Want An Answer!

Most of the time, parents absolutely adore their children. Whether thay are planned or a surprise, makes no difference. The majority usually fall madly in love with their baby the instant they hold them in their arms and look into their eyes. My daughter was not planned. I was...

    My Story . . .

My parents have formally disowned me and I don't have any good reason why.  Perhaps it is because my mother is a narcissist and my father is her enabler - who knows.  I have not talked to them in over two months now.  This is the third and last time they are to...

    To Many Times.

As a parent you are the adult in the relationship and whatever happens should be discussed with your children.  Hopefully a resolution is not to difficult to achieve. I am in my early 30's, never smoked, never drunk, never slept around, no religious issues in the...

I Don'T Understand Why You Hate Me...

I have never felt loved after my younger sister was born. I was 4. Ever since that day, I became the evil child. I never did anything really wrong, just didn't do good in school, I was uninterested and my parents made me do chores before homework so that did not help. But I was...

    Who Does That?

Parents, in my view, are supposed to do two things above all:  Love their children and help their children (Of course, in an ideal world, everyone would be loved and helped by everyone else, but our culture keeps love in the "family unit).  Disowning a child is a...

    Who'd Do Such A Thing?

I don't get parents who disown their children, personally I think that parents should love and provide for their children at all times, because it was them who brought them into the world. Recently, my parents have been talking about disowning me, threatening me with it at...
