I Dont Use Birth Control

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 1,198 People

I have never taken birth control before.

My dermatologist in our initial meeting asked if I took any birth control. I said no and she replied good. Doctors know this stuff isn't healthy for our bodies in the long run, but many refuse to admit it. I keep a period/ovulation tracker on my phone to plan the natural way.

I have never used birth control.

This is because is it for God to chose how many children I have, and birth control gets in the way of that. Had it been up to me, I might have stopped at 3 kids instead of the 5 I have now. I might have left more of a gap in between pregnancies to allow my body to recover. But...

    I Went Off Birth Control

I created a similar group called "I went off birth control" to share the story of how the five years I was on the pill were the worst of my life. Basically, I was depressed, not interested in sex, and numb to life in general. Now that I am off these hormones I feel alive for the...

    I Would If I Could But I Can'T

I actually can't take hormonal birth control and it kind of sucks. There's a genetic factor in my blood that causes it to clot when it meets excess estrogen. I love bareback sex with a guy and I like knowing that outside of that instance I'm safe. But I love the thrill of...

    Condoms are just awful -

that stuff they put on them just eats away on my insides and feels like acid. I was on the pill for awhile but I have stopped. I just want my body to be natural and normal- no more chemicals trying to control me. I try to eat right and take care of myself. If I get pregnant...

Nope. No birth control here. No pills, no shots, and barely any condoms (only around the time I ovulate).Yes, we both know that that means I am entirely fertile, and that it's possible I could ovulate twice in the same month, but that just adds to the risky fun. It's like playing...
