    Fed Up of Working

Ever since the age of 14 I've been working.  I am now 52 and I'm fed up! Some day I would like to wake up and ask myself what to do! Today in my country it is Thanksgiving and although I have much to be greatful for, still I crave for a change.

    Everything Is Just Not Right

    - I've been passed over for a promotion for some one with less seniority and a worse work record. - I've been harrassed by other workers in front of customers for petty issues such as using a workstation they had been using while they were off to lunch. - Gossip is rampant...

Working Is Making Me Mentally Ill...i Think

After having bouts with my last two employers of which I dedicated several years of my life to each. I find myself utterly exhausted. I feel bitter, betrayed, and beaten down. I spent several years working at a dialysis facility for which I absolutely loved patient care! Coming...

    Just... Stuck

Like many of you, the recent economic downturn has put my aspiring career out of its misery. I had left my family's business to work as an account coordinator with a "growing" distribution and fulfillment company. Over my two years there, I ended up managing the call...

I Was In The Service, It Wasn't For Me...now I'm Making My Own Money. Residually!

Even as the navy veteran I am, it was hard for me to find work! Struggling to stay committed to school, I am yet again changing college programs (for the 4th time!). I am an entrepreneur at heart but of course I would like to stick with something to have as a "plan b". But...

    What Is A Job Anymore?

I have tried several jobs, which either pay too little, have way too many constraints and politics, or simply consist of dredging out a daily living through the service supplied (whether needed or simply the latest fad). I am pretty much done with that. I worked in Columbus...

    I'm Frustrated

It's not that I don't like what I do but twice this week I've had two long term clients tell me "We love you, your personal service, your creativity, your attention  to detail,  yada yada yada, but we had to go with another supplier because they were cheaper! Yikes...

    I Guess Somethings Never Change

When I wrote this statement, I was working at a different job...waiting tables as a matter of fact.  Then I got a SECOND job to try to wean myself out of the first one.  Well, that worked. NOW, I don't want to be there.  I think there comes a point when you have to...

I have been working for 10 years now.

I know its not massive in terms of other people, however I just dont want to work anymore. I have volunteered my skills in other areas, but I just hate the crap that goes on. I am underpaid and if I could get benefits to cover my current cost of living, I would take them and...

    Who Gets Whacked Next ....

I think everyone wants to be successful.  We negotiate a salary / wage with the manager hiring and we do the job we are asked to do. Simple enough right?  I have worked for 30 years and was told recently that the company is going to restructure which mean painful decisions of...

I Don't Want To Work Anymore... It's Worthless

Don't judge me wrong. I'm not lazy or waiting for handouts. The reasons why I don't want to work anymore besides the health burden it carries its because a lot of things have changed over the years. I thought that if you work hard like show up on time and do what they told...

    Not Retired - Just Tired!

I'm 55 and have been working since I was 10.  I am grateful to have a very good job, like what I do, enjoy my co-workers, and work in a good environment.  Unless I win the Lottery, this is it!!!  However, with what I lost recently in retirement funds, realistically...

I have a bit of antiexty returning to work

after the holidays. Why? Well I would just love to go to work and do actual work but instead I deal with people's bs all day long. My work continues to pile but it seems like I'm never ahead because of all the bs that is thrown my way. My company desperately needs structure. I...
