    College Doesn't Equal Knowledge

College doesn't equal knowledge. I just learned this a few weeks ago. My entire life, I've been indoctrinated with the notion that succeeding in school is the only way to live a happy life. As time went on and as I was brainwashed by my teachers and parents, I transitioned from...

If you want to go back to college,

this might help you. I dropped out and years later returned. I finished my degree and now I'm off to grad school. Here's how I did it, this might work for you. I had dropped out of a state university. With all of the online colleges state schools are opening branch campuses...

It was a decision made in haste,

but in my own defense, I had just had a hernia surgery and a full time job with a salary. I need to go back and complete this though.

I dropped out of college a few months early I

think. I was lazy, didn't like getting on a bus full of pensioners every morning. It was Canterbury college I went to on a Creative Media Production course, despite leaving early I still passed. I was going through awful mental health at the time, suffered all the symptoms of...

After only 1 semester of History

and English Studies, I dropped out two weeks ago... again. I just hate everything about university. They say you meet all those great people and it's so different from high school, and you can finally do and learn whatever you want. But it's not like that. Maybe it's different...

Well, Not Yet But I Plan To

School has never been a place for me, even going through high school made me depressed. I never felt good enough, or "smart" enough because I didn't care to absorb what was always meaningless to me. Homework was beyond stressing when I'd work all day at school only for it to...

    I'm Considering Dropping Out...

I never really liked school, but I like learning, it just seems hard to find the time. When I first started going to college in 2006, I was taking basic courses just because I didn't know what I wanted to do. And now, seven years and a variety of worthless classes later, I still...

I left College to do a traineeship in retail.

I ended up going to a place where teenagers from ages 16-18 go when they have dropped out of school, are not in education and have no job. My second week there and I already have a job interview on Monday next week for a retail store :D In college, we would have never got...

    The Determined College Drop-out

I know, it sounds really ridiculous.  Who in their right mind would be determined to drop out of college? It sounds like it would be an easy thing to do, but at the time, it really wasn't. Let me get one thing straight.  I never expected to go to college.  Maybe...

something I didn't want to because it was "expected" by my parents. Most parents. All those days being around a bunch of people I couldn't stand, being taught by so-called professors who abuse their "authority". Along with with young students who still think they're in high...

I've dropped out of college not once, not thrice, but twice. I was called a fool for my decision, and am still pestered by well-meaning relatives. What made dropping out seem especially stoopid is the fact that I didn't have to pay a dime for my education. My parents are...

If school ever comes up in conversation and I mention that I dropped out of college, I get the typical, "Oh, I am sorry, what are you going to do with your life now?" As if everyone MUST have a college degree to be successful. I guess no one really pays any attention to some well...
