I was looking for a movie to watch on Netflix

tonight. The movie 'Toast' came up on movie suggestions I may like - and seeing it had Helena Bonham Carter in it, I pressed play. To my utter surprise and joy I discovered it was based on the life of Nigel Slater. Winning! My favourite quote in the whole movie would have...

    I really do like cooking.

Except from the fact that I make the same mistake every time of putting my face right next to the oven when I open it. The picture shows what my face looks like when it happens.

Well with three "starving" boys with good

appetites you have to enjoy cooking. My food and the cooking must be alright because I get no complaints.

I always wanted to do a whole chicken on the

BBQ. So I had a date coming over for dinner. I was late getting the chicken on the BBQ so I slathered it with butter and Greek seasoning. I had the heat on medium high about fifteen minutes later, I went to turn down the heat and the chicken was totally blackened. So I thought...

Peanut Butter and Bacon Sandwich Yeah,

I know. I can hear you now, saying "Whaaat??" But at one time, in the 1940's and early 1950's peanut butter and bacon were the usual duo in sandwiches. In fact, people would have said "Whaaat?" to the absurd notion of peanut butter and jelly, which in those days was considered...
