    Alan Bennett Or David Byrne?

I'm not sure if this is about Alan Bennett's Talking Heads series on television or the band Talking Heads. Both were very good in their respective genres (great word), Road To Nowhere, a particular highlight.

    Talking Heads-painting Windows

    Life During Wartime

'I got some groceries, some peanut butter to last a couple of days.' Genius? I think so. This song gets me through all the hard times. It's just wonderful, makes you smile. It's not just nonsense, it all makes sense. The Talking Heads rock :D. Listen to 'Life During...

I raised my daughter on my own

and tried to expose her to the important things in life. She just got married. She chose This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) for our father-daughter dance. I guess I did a good job.

    Dreeeaaaam Operator.

The group was introduced to me one summer while decorating and listening to this band certainly had the rooms painted. There are three remarkable and unique tracks that I often have the pleasure to indulge in, and will discuss on this site. Here are some lyrics...

    Really unique and original.

There is no one else like them, my three favourite albums by them are: Talking Heads:77, Fear Of Music and Remain In Light.

I'd been following Talking Heads around the

clubs in NYC from '77 and got to hear their music evolve into the 80's. I'll always associate two things together when I remember the summer of 1983. Talking Heads released Stop Making Sense, and I met my one true love dancing in a club to Take Me To the River. "Hug me...

I think I may have eluded to this story in a previous post many years ago but here goes. Growing up us siblings were not allowed to listen to the Talking Heads because of the song, "Burning Down the House." ( Okay now that you have giggled)  My mom thought that listening...

    Papa Legba---

You'll be, hmm-hmm-hmm-hmm, magnet for money You'll be, mm-mm-mm-mm, magnet for love You'll feel, hmm, light in your body Now I'm gonna say, gonna say these words: Rompiendo la monotonia del tiempo Rompiendo la monotonia del tiempo It might hmm-mmm-mm-mm...It might rain money...
