Lost to the sound of the crashing waves.

......as I lose my self watching the lap the shore over and over, caught up in their trance over me, I let my mind wonder away.....

    Beaches are usually fun places,

but somewhat less so when there’s no surf and the water’s calm and flat. Add waves though, and things become much more interesting…

I Don't get too many chance to see this in the

Midwest. We have lakes I like to go to, but that can't possibly compare to the ocean. I really do love being near water. It is like a beautiful living being. Always changeing, moving, whispering, or shouting. My dream is to once see the ocean. This might be why I...

I have never felt so alive.

Peace in turbulence..Serenity. Especially during sunsets. A moment when you are freed from all your thoughts, your pains, worries. Sitting there idly, with a smile on your face, watching the waves smile back at you... feeling closer to oneself. Like speaking without a voice...

I love going back to Brittany

and to the beaches, I love the wildness of Finisterre. The islands are tiny pieces of land amid a tumult. I can watch the sea try to claim the space.

That's what I'm doing right now.

:) I love to sit alone on the beach with a good book while the waves crash onto the shore. It was one of my favorite things to do before family and responsibility took over. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day to drive a few miles and have some me time. I...

Spending time at the coast is more healing

for me than months of therapy! The rhythmic crashing of the waves restores my homeostasis. The spray of the water washes over my spirit. The observance of the shear power & size of the ocean brings me back into a place if humility & grace. I always leave my time in Poseidon's...

I like to go down to Galveston

and sit out on the jetty off of the seawall. I like the sound of the waves on the rocks. There usually aren't any big waves but sometimes there are and they crash over the jetty. It looks and sounds cool especially with the spray going up in the air

The deep rich shade of blue,

the mystery within, just like his eyes. The blue itself will rise and fall, only to find it self washed away along the shore. Most of its depths are unexplored. Just like him. The Sea and a Boy

    The Power Of The Ocean

It's amazing watching the waves roll in. It's rather mesmerizing in fact. The power, the strength. The erosion it can cause. But there is beauty as well. You can hear the waves crash as they roll in. The aroma. Even at night you can hear the waves. In the moonlight you...

My most memorable beach experience happened in

Playa Carate, Costa Rica. It is a remote beach near the southern tip of the Osa Peninsula. I remember going there with my girlfriend and being mesmerized by the power of the waves. The breaks were probably 7 to 10 feet tall and the wind whipped up a mix of sea mist and beach...

    The beach is always appealing,

but I didn't really get a beach holiday this year. I went to a beach, in Scotland, but it was far too remote to take off my clothes and laze and swim. I hope to enjoy next summer on the beach, somewhere in the western Mediterranean.

I live in Singapore and on my 16th birthday,

I spent it on a beach at Sentosa and just stood there for hours not saying or doing anything, just enjoying the breeze and listening to the waves. The view was breathtaking. And after dinner, I went back and stayed a little longer. I never wanted to leave. It's... Addicting.

I love the sand in my toes and the sounds of the ocean. I was always down the beach at night, walking the sands in the moonlight as it was reflected off the crashing waves. It was then that I felt most peace in the world. I still do it now, we would go to Lake Windermere and...
