I love going back to Brittany

and to the beaches, I love the wildness of Finisterre. The islands are tiny pieces of land amid a tumult. I can watch the sea try to claim the space.

    It Soothes My Mind

I love the sight of them crashing and it takes my mind away from everything and it is a great way to relax.  I live in an island so I am never far away from them.

Can't Wait to See Even Larger Ones.

Although I grew up near a coast, the Gulf of Mexico coast is not known for spectacular waves.  (Well, it IS, during a hurricane, but when 30-foot waves are happening on THAT flat coast, you can't survive being near enough to see them!)  Now I can take trips to...

The deep rich shade of blue,

the mystery within, just like his eyes. The blue itself will rise and fall, only to find it self washed away along the shore. Most of its depths are unexplored. Just like him. The Sea and a Boy

My most memorable beach experience happened in

Playa Carate, Costa Rica. It is a remote beach near the southern tip of the Osa Peninsula. I remember going there with my girlfriend and being mesmerized by the power of the waves. The breaks were probably 7 to 10 feet tall and the wind whipped up a mix of sea mist and beach...

Watching waves by standing on the sands all I

could see the empty to the Power Infinity. ... I get lost in a Huge NOTHINGNESS !! When my feet washed by the waves and I am about to fall then I feel reality within. Can't explain what I can't create.

There Is Something Powerful About It

I love watching waves especially on the ocean because you know those waves have been traveling a long long way to get to you.   Nothing stopping them, created out of nothing except the power of the wind and then in an instant they are gone.  All that energy is that...

It always has a calming effect on me.

In the summer you can sit and watch. Especially early morning or late at night. I've even fallen asleep on a beach in Portugal doing just that!

I have never felt so alive.

Peace in turbulence..Serenity. Especially during sunsets. A moment when you are freed from all your thoughts, your pains, worries. Sitting there idly, with a smile on your face, watching the waves smile back at you... feeling closer to oneself. Like speaking without a voice...

I remember jumping over the waves

as a kid; I don't remember much pull from my shorts so I'm pretty sure I didn't wear anything back then. :) Years later I found an opportunity to get naked on the beach and I did the same thing. It was very nostalgic.

Just me, the rough sea, the angry waves.... the cool, brisk wind and the priceless feeling of peace that i get from it. The feeling that i don't get anywhere else. I probably have goosepimples on my arms and i'm probably wishing that i brought extra clothes... but i forget...

    The Power Of The Ocean

It's amazing watching the waves roll in. It's rather mesmerizing in fact. The power, the strength. The erosion it can cause. But there is beauty as well. You can hear the waves crash as they roll in. The aroma. Even at night you can hear the waves. In the moonlight you...

I like the smell and the feeling of the breeze

that it brings too. What I like the most is the sound if it. The song Parasol from the tempest album of Jesse Cook has these sound at the background. I listen the album at night when I can't sleep (or Kenny g etc) and sleep listening to this song.

I like to go down to Galveston

and sit out on the jetty off of the seawall. I like the sound of the waves on the rocks. There usually aren't any big waves but sometimes there are and they crash over the jetty. It looks and sounds cool especially with the spray going up in the air
