Lost to the sound of the crashing waves.

......as I lose my self watching the lap the shore over and over, caught up in their trance over me, I let my mind wonder away.....

    I could sit for hours

and just watch as the blue water sparkles and ripples beneath the sun, tumbling down to the shore into a spray of white, rolling over the grains of sand as it reaches out as far as it can reach before sinking back to the waters of the beach. That light spray of a cool mist on...

    Soft sand, palm trees swaying

as far as the eye can see. It is night; everything is cool. Full moon out and glimmering over us. Hand in hand with my bf, barefoot, our toes digging into the sand. Wearing nothing but large fuzzy sweater shirt, reaching to my knees. Watching waves crash onto the beach so...

    I have favourite places

where I will sit and listen to the sea. The power of Nature, and the transcience of mankind is seen in the ubiquitous nature of the ocean.

    It's the most calming thing.

I could sit and watch the waves, smell the salt air and just get lost in the moment, time passing by unnoticed.

I have always been a beach lover.

I love the sand in my toes and the sounds of the ocean. I was always down the beach at night, walking the sands in the moonlight as it was reflected off the crashing waves. It was then that I felt most peace in the world. I still do it now, we would go to Lake Windermere and...

I get a selfish pleasure in knowing

that I'm the only who ever saw that wave, that moment, that ocean right then. No one else can ever remember what I saw, what I felt. It's my secret.

    Beaches are usually fun places,

but somewhat less so when there’s no surf and the water’s calm and flat. Add waves though, and things become much more interesting…

Spending time at the coast is more healing

for me than months of therapy! The rhythmic crashing of the waves restores my homeostasis. The spray of the water washes over my spirit. The observance of the shear power & size of the ocean brings me back into a place if humility & grace. I always leave my time in Poseidon's...

There is something about sitting on a beach

looking out over the water, listening to the waves crash against the rocks on the beach. The powerful sound of something so light and so fluid hitting with such force is both mesmerizing and awe inspiring and yet can induce the most peaceful sensation. A friend and I once stood...

You sit there, on the side of the sea.

You are alone, you are just with yourself and the sea. The sea and the waves that crumple against the beach, against the rocks, against yourself and they wash everything...the wash your soul
