I Went To The Beach At 14 And Fell In Love!

I was in foster care at the age of 12 so for my dad and my grandparents to be able to take me from Ohio to North Carolina for a week was an awesome and unprecedented treat! Before we got to the beach my dad had cautioned us about the dangers of the undertow and how choppy the...

Watching waves by standing on the sands all I

could see the empty to the Power Infinity. ... I get lost in a Huge NOTHINGNESS !! When my feet washed by the waves and I am about to fall then I feel reality within. Can't explain what I can't create.

That's what I'm doing right now.

:) I love to sit alone on the beach with a good book while the waves crash onto the shore. It was one of my favorite things to do before family and responsibility took over. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day to drive a few miles and have some me time. I...

    The Power Of The Ocean

It's amazing watching the waves roll in. It's rather mesmerizing in fact. The power, the strength. The erosion it can cause. But there is beauty as well. You can hear the waves crash as they roll in. The aroma. Even at night you can hear the waves. In the moonlight you...

I have never felt so alive.

Peace in turbulence..Serenity. Especially during sunsets. A moment when you are freed from all your thoughts, your pains, worries. Sitting there idly, with a smile on your face, watching the waves smile back at you... feeling closer to oneself. Like speaking without a voice...

    The ocean is so beautiful.

I love taking walks on the beach for hours. I enjoy picking up sea glass and sea shells. I love hearing the sound of the ocean. I love watching the sunset with the colorful rays lighting up the sky.

I miss the beach! Coming here to Paris means I

can't go to the beach. I used to spend a lot of time on the beach. The sounds come to me in my dreams sometimes, but to go back there I would need some permissions.

Especially at night, maybe a campfire in the

background, a full moon, a bottle of wine, grapes, cheese, meat, crackers...the sounds of the ocean and waves breaking... oh. wait... this should have been in the "I am romantic" experience... but I do love the sound of the waves on the beach... very hypnotic and mesmerizing

I love going back to Brittany

and to the beaches, I love the wildness of Finisterre. The islands are tiny pieces of land amid a tumult. I can watch the sea try to claim the space.

Zzzz Zzzz ZzzzI fell asleep watching the waves

this afternoon. Probably more the sound that lulled me to sleep, there's still something deeply serene and spiritual watching the churning water in this lake.

In the summer you can sit and watch. Especially early morning or late at night. I've even fallen asleep on a beach in Portugal doing just that!

I like to go down to Galveston

and sit out on the jetty off of the seawall. I like the sound of the waves on the rocks. There usually aren't any big waves but sometimes there are and they crash over the jetty. It looks and sounds cool especially with the spray going up in the air

    It's so calming, one

after the other after the other. Captivating, and on the exterior, simple. But there's still so much that there is behind that exterior that we don't see. Like the tide and the causes of their size and the currents underneath. Then there are things we don't know like why are...

My most memorable beach experience happened in

Playa Carate, Costa Rica. It is a remote beach near the southern tip of the Osa Peninsula. I remember going there with my girlfriend and being mesmerized by the power of the waves. The breaks were probably 7 to 10 feet tall and the wind whipped up a mix of sea mist and beach...

I love the sand in my toes and the sounds of the ocean. I was always down the beach at night, walking the sands in the moonlight as it was reflected off the crashing waves. It was then that I felt most peace in the world. I still do it now, we would go to Lake Windermere and...

    The beach is always appealing,

but I didn't really get a beach holiday this year. I went to a beach, in Scotland, but it was far too remote to take off my clothes and laze and swim. I hope to enjoy next summer on the beach, somewhere in the western Mediterranean.

I spent it on a beach at Sentosa and just stood there for hours not saying or doing anything, just enjoying the breeze and listening to the waves. The view was breathtaking. And after dinner, I went back and stayed a little longer. I never wanted to leave. It's... Addicting.
