    My Practice In My 40's

When I practiced yoga in my late 20'e I was not only younger, but also leaner, ridiculously flexible, with no arthritis on my knees. And vegetarian. Yet, what made it so easy (my physical shape and nutrition habits) paradoxically kept me away from realizing many important things...

    Low-profile yoga : )

I enjoy yoga. I am not a (yoga) freak. I am not committed in knowing what a real yogini is and becoming one. I’m not a cool person because of yoga. I do not search for a “community of people moved by higher purposes” to join in. I am not inclined towards fancy studios. I...

    Better Health And Emotional Stability

Yoga makes me feel good! It makes my body feel refreshed and alive, my mind a little calmer and more focused, and my emotions more balanced. When I feel good, I’ve noticed that things don’t bother me as much. Overall I think yoga has improved my...

    Yoga Practice

I love the way yoga makes me feel.  I'm not particularly good at it yet, but they say it's called Yoga Practice because no one is perfect!  I love the stretches because my muscles are always so tight from stress and stretching just feels so good.  And I love the...

Not any good at it but love it none the less.

My first class was seniors chair yoga with four ladies in their 60-70's. They all said how much they enjoyed it and felt better from doing it. The first thing I learned was yoga is not about over doing anything. It is training our body too move naturally and do no harm. I was...

    Yoga Clothes

I love yoga. If it wasn't for the price I would join Bikram Yoga-hot Yoga. but I'm also happy with body flow ( combination of tai Chi, Pilate's and Yoga) which I do at the gym - good life fitness. My question is there anyplace on-line or offline - I live in Toronto- that I...

    Sooo Relaxing

I love to do yoga... Mind you I'm not quite a "Yogi" yet, but I do basic yoga stretches daily. I love how I feel so great when I do it, and blah when I don't. I would like to learn more about yoga, maybe take a class, and master some Arm balances.

    Starting Over

My first attempt at yoga would have been about 10 years ago (my mid to late 20s).  A friend persuaded me to go with her to a class.  I didn't like the teacher but I enjoyed the exercise, which was the important thing.  Although it was gentle exercise... it was exhausting...

No Other Training Quite Like Yoga

There is simply no other training quite like yoga because it utilizes the body, mind and spirit, all in one system. Training how to do Yoga is certainly a spiritual path that is centered on traditional revered philosophy, but we do not have to make an ethical choice when...

Yoga For The Past 30 Years And Not Planning To Stop...

I took up a beginners' class when I was 18 years old. Fell in love with it at the first lesson. After the 6-month-course ended, I did not go for the intermediate level because of time constraint. So, I bought books to continue my yoga journey... at home. I love the sun...
