I Fed a Homeless Person

I was parked at mcdonalds late at night waiting

for a date to get ready. And I saw a homeless guy picking up coins off the ground and an empty water bottle. I got out of my car and offered him a meal. He just ordered a large drink. He was like "god bless man, there aren't that many people like you left in the world."

    Several, Actually

I actually did that a few years.  There was a restaurant I frequented that offered dinners on Thanksgiving and Christmas for people who had no place else to go.   I was one of the volunteers who helped serve meals.

I didn't feed her. I give her my bottle of

juice. She didn't even let me open it and drink some. She knew I just brought it. She taps my hand and asks me can she have my drink? She was homeless I give her my juice. That was nice right? The bad part that was the type of juice in that store. I was heading home. In my...

I once got into a Street fight with a guy

and a woman because on my lunch break I went and bought three sandwiches and three cups of tea. I gave one sandwich and cup of tea to a bag lady sat on the sidewalk. The second I took down to the canal where a homeless guy lived under a bridge. We even sat together chatting...

    My father once told me,

"If a homeless person asks you for money, offer a meal instead of money." Today, that's exactly what happened. I was in a Subway today and a guy came up with a shopping cart with his stuff. He looked exhausted. He asked me for spare change. I had none but I told him, "Order...

I share whatever food I get with homeless

people, and quite often they will offer what they have to me. I will talk to and do all I can if someone needs help, except hand out money. People asking for money can earn it, sell me something I need, but there are few ways to lose my respect than to beg, and turn my manners...

when i see a homeless person at an

interesection i go to the nearest convenience store, and buy a bunch of snacks and bring it back to them. I've done it twice and seeing them so happy is very rewarding.

Having been homeless on several occasions,

I understand what it can be like when no one wants to help. So, when I met Zeke, it seemed natural to want to help. I was working in a fast food place at the time, and I remember he came in and purchased a coffee, almost entirely in nickels and pennies. I didn't have money and...
