    I Can Anywhere

I can feel at peace anywhere.  Because I have God in Christ in me, the hope (future reality) of glory.  But around a body of water? Sure! Why not?

    Bodies Of Water

Water is powerful and capable of being sad, angry, content, happy. You just have to feel and listen. I enjoy the sound of trickling water or moving water because it's somewhat relaxing. Just being by water gives me a sense of peace and true relaxation and to an extent I believe...

    The Lake

When I was a kid I had an uncle that used to rent a campsite at a beautiful lake in south jersey.  I used to go up there with him and my cousins on varoius summer weekends.  I remember waking up before the sun came up and going down to the lake and...

    Remarkable.

I do not live too far from Lake Michigan, and I visit it every chance I get. There is something about it that is so calming. So soothing. It doesn't matter how upset I am. It doesn't matter how much is on my mind. When I am near a body of water, especially Lake Michigan...

The Water Holds My Heart And Soul

I have two ponds at my house just in case I can't get to the water. Because I fish every day I'm either at the river, a pond or at the lake I love so much. Water soothes my broken spirit, helps to mend my broken heart and provides serenity for my aching soul. I have over 4000 pix...

    Awe Inspiring

I live close to some very deep and ruggered coastline and on a calm day it,s so peaseful you could sit and continplate life . On a rough stormy day you get the waves crashing over the road and it is so stiring and awe inspiring just the massive power of the ocean...

For being a terrible swimmer I love the water.

I love being in a beach town.

    Clear Head

The only time I can think clearly or am at peace with my self is in water. I get my best ideas and epiphanies in the shower. I could live in the shower or under/behind a waterfall. No matter how blue or ill I am taking a shower, a bath, a swim, or a walk in the rain always makes...

Maybe It's the Pisces In Me

Be it Ocean, lake, river, stream, storm drain... whatever...  If I can sit and see and hear the water, the rest of the world seems to drift away.   That's another reason I love staying at my friend's house, I sit out on the deck, watch people go by and just a few...

    Oceans And Rivers

I have never been much of a lake person.  Being raised in Long Beach, CA and always having access to the beach I didn't need to bother with any other bodies of water.  I was a scuba diver for awhile and that gave me a real sense of how vast the ocean was, when you...

    Water, Water, Everywhere!

Since I was born under the element of water I have always enjoyed it. Not to mention I have always lived near some body of water whether it be a river, creek, or pond. I like to stick my feet in the water and wiggle my toes through the glimmer of the sunlight and smile. It...

    Interesting Theory

For those of you who go in for evolutionary psychology, I've heard an interesting theory about why we like the beach. I can't remember where, it may have been either a Stephen Pinker or Steven Jay Gould book. Basically it says we carved out a niche by living on the seaside...

    Peace Given There.

I used to live in a little town that had a river running through it. It was beautiful to sit and watch it. I loved the water. when I was sad, I would go to the brdge and sit for hours just watching and crying. It was the way that I felt safe. Only God and fish could see...

    I Grew Up Around It.

I grew up on an Island my whole life. I just cant imagine a life without being no more than 2 miles away from a body of water, and yet I rarely go to the beach. Sometimes at night I will go out to the beach to stare at the stars and listen to the breakers crash on shore.

    I Need It

I've probably mentioned this elsewhere on the site, but I think if I didn't have some way of being near a natural body of water, I would go absolutely nutters.  I crave it, and in a sense I think it may be part of my life's destiny to be very close to one, and soon...

Being Around Large Bodies Of Water

To me has always been very comforting. Listening to the waves crashing plays a sweet song to my ears while watching the sun setting the feel of the cool ocean spray touching my skin on a hot day is like heaven on earth there is just no other place I would rather be.

I need to stop drinking at places on the

river/ocean on weeknights. I don't want to go home. I just want to sit by the water.

It Can Unblock The Creative Juices.

There is a pond like right beside my house. The water isn't very clear, but it works. When I feel blocked in my writing or I need to think about something the dock is a perfect place. I just wished that now there was a private pool of water from a stream or something on the...
